It is with a heavy heart, that I need to inform all my games I need to step away from the pathfinder universe. Need to focus on getting a job and some other things. Okay, it's time to bite the bullet. I really, really wanted to see this game through to the end, since, y'know, it's the last book, and the only positive arc for Xiddik involves seeing it all through, but I'm regularly holding things up at this point. Xiddik's contributions are piecemeal and take weeks to arrive, and I still haven't been able to find the time to rebuild her character sheet from the time Paizo's website ate it. It's bad.
Xiddik's not exactly the Party MVP—if anything, she's just a patch on a few party weak points—so it's not like she's strictly needed. I never felt like I was fully successful integrating her into any real relationships, so it's not like her departure would cripple any other PCs' arcs. Xiddik mostly had her own thing going on.
I don't know what the best solution is, but it might be best for the Darklands guide to end up claimed by the very path she walked all her life. I'd like to see out her emotional journey, but I clearly don't have the time or energy to commit. My Captain Ahab/tortured artist nihilist edgebold deserved better. So does this game.
What do you all suggest? I'm not all-out set on vacating, but I don't think it's fair for me to stick around and drag things out when it sometimes takes me literal weeks just to post half an action. That's a net negative for the campaign.
I don't think you are solely responsible for holding up the game in any way. None of us have the posting rate that this group was once known for.
I, for one, have enjoyed Xiddik's presence and contributions. I can't say I've done a great job of posting regularly lately, so I certainly won't be throwing any accusatory stones from in my glass house.

I completely agree with Randall, it has never occurred to me to think that this game would be ripping along again if only Xiddik posted faster - it's all of us. I feel like we've slowed down a lot, but are still making progress and can see this thing through to the end.
Xiddik adds value as a character, but you add great enjoyment to the game with your writing and humor. From a strictly mechanical point of view, Xiddik's knowledge skills and buffs for the party are very useful and will continue to be. From a 'having fun because that's why we play a game' point of view, Xiddik is awesome and I'd hate to see you take her out of the game.
Randall and Asht'el have said it very well.
To summarize: the slowdown is all of our responsibility, and please don't quit unless you really aren't having any fun anymore. :)
I apologize for the slowdown. My moves the last couple years have hurt this game more than most.
We are in the last book and I intend to finish it. The bulk of this book is a series of dungeon crawls. I'm going to trim a good chunk of them so we can cut to the finale and wrap this campaign up.
If people are okay with my posting rate, I'm going to try to keep Xiddik going. Thank you all for your patience and the kind words. I like this group, and I like Xiddik. Let's see if we can't bring this to a good conclusion.
