My computer is down with all of my notes and character information, so I will be unable to contribute until I can figure out how to undo whatever’s caused this.

Headed out on vacation. I anticipate having access and probably more opportunities to use it, but one can never be certain. Please bot as necessary - but it shouldn’t be necessary.
| Asht'el |
I'll be on a long work trip Oct 9-28. I'll still have internet access, but will have limited time to post and will be in a very different time zone. Bot me as needed.

The real arc to follow during the film is Xiddik's and Prickles's relationship, which grows throughout the final installment of the trilogy. Many long-time fans of the popular standalone high fantasy novel "Second Darkness" questioned why this friendship arc was given such heavy emphasis when Xiddik did not even exist in the original manuscript, as well as why the major romantic leads for Njord and Asht were cut from the theatrical edition in favor of a "Special Edition" DVD cut featuring a completely added love triangle between them and a werebear efreeti named "Smokey". The decision to remove Jametor entirely for the third movie was likewise controversial.
Xiddik, according to co-director and actor D.M. Fury, was added for the final film primarily to cater to children who would enjoy the kobold bard's madcap antics, and the studio felt that emphasizing her dynamic with surprisingly popular minor sidekick Prickles would be a winning formula.
Unfortunately, Xiddik's actress does not seem aware that her role was as a comedic foil, and frequently delivers lines intended to be humorous with an air likened by one critic to, "Hamlet playing Jar-Jar Binks".
According to co-director and actress Oladon, "Prickles is the heart of the three movies. He's the only character everyone liked, especially after we had to replace Njord with CJI so Fury could focus on directing. I'm not sure why we included the scene where Prickles was horribly burned in a fireball. In retrospect, that was a weird decision. I think we lost some people there."

I am laughing so hard...
I know, right? I had tears, I was laughing so hard. And trying to explain what I was laughing at... it couldn’t be done.

So it turns out I'm a cheater, and never actually took Feint Partner! :(
I totally intended to do so... seeing if Hope Crusher will let me swap it out, and then I'll post!
| Xiddik |
Xiddik has basically two potential fates from here, one happy, one less-so.
The happy ending is that Xiddik Stygealys is allowed to return to Crying Leaf, her good name restored, and gets to reunite with her buddy Gisiel. She gets a home either in Crying Leaf or in a nice cave beneath or nearby Crying Leaf, and mostly ventures into the Darklands to help out travelers rather than as a formal job.
She might continue to adventure with the party from time to time, but she'll probably part ways here for a bit, to go off and finally finish the song she's been writing over the course of her role in the campaign—and do a little grieving for her dead sister, all those of the Bonescale tribe who were killed or enslaved by the drow, and everything she's lost or forgotten about her own tribe during her quest for revenge.
She might later reunite with her comrades in the party in a tavern in Crying Leaf, or on another trip into the Dark Down Under where they need a guide once more. She becomes a bit more of a bard than a ranger, and lives the long life a kobold can technically lead. Maybe she even reunites with her kobold brethren and reconnects a little.
The less-happy ending is that Xiddik never really recovers from actually winning. Xiddik fully expected to get killed on her vengeance crusade, and she might not be able to stop trying. She's Captain Ahab as much as she is Deekin. She might just keep hunting drow and picking uneven battles until something finally gets her. Maybe she scores a heroic death, and she might later reunite with the party in the form of them coming upon her grave in Crying Leaf.
This is the bummer ending and probably won't happen, but I wouldn't mind the opportunity to sort of roleplay her sorting through some emotions here in the battle's aftermath, if people are up for it.
In a general sense, I wouldn't mind the party getting to reunite with some NPCs, like the drow kid we rescued (however grudgingly on Xiddik's part) and his dumb cat.

I have never played an AP clear through. In fact, it's been so long since we started this, I assumed I must have come in as a sub as is my common means of getting into a party, but no. I am amazed to go back and read the early posts and see that I am the sole surviving non-gm of the original party. I want to thank the co-gms and the other players for putting up with my posting rates for six years(!) and will try to gather up some of those threads that we've let lie, but barring such research, I would say that Randall's come so far and changed so much in the course of this adventure, his future is unclear.
At one time, he would have wanted nothing more than to return to the Gold Goblin and continue to run it into his old age (we still collectively own that establishment, don't we?), but now, he's not really interested in settling down. Maybe dropping in and making sure it's being managed in the way we want, but I think he's inclined to see what Firiel is planning and maybe continue a future with her in it, see what develops.

Sorry to take a while to post on this matter. Asht'el would most like to return to Corvakis, the drow boy he brought to the surface, and Keno, his displacer beast pet. Though he's loathe to accept responsibility for much in his life, Asht'el does feel an obligation to keep the kid out of trouble, and to attempt to keep the beast from eating anyone, so he'll probably give life a try as a single parent of a truly mixed family (with possible help from some peculiar aunties and uncles).

Who you callin' "peculiar", fire-hair?
I definitely see Fíriel... how did Randall put it... "continu[ing] a future with [Randall] in it." They've gotten rather close.
Prickles, now... his future is a mystery to me. I mean, I assume he stays with Fíriel and Randall, but...
