RELEASED NECROMANCER BLOG... "about that"...

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

One person said elsewhere, "Dark. Though I do wonder how people using this class would interact with people associated with Pharasma."
Another said, "My wife actually plays a "Pharasmin Priest" Necromancer.
Uses his powers to call on the wandering spirits that haven't yet passed on and gives them a final blaze of glory in a push to move them on to the Boneyard."

a third person said regarding the first comment above, "Not very well, like a war cleric of urgathoa player trying to participate in "Fall of Plaguestone", because that player really likes Scythes... but doesn't bother to look up the history of ISGER, the GoblinBlood Wars, nor the history of Northern Andoria aka "darkmoon Vale"... very real reasosn why I won't allow a Goblin, Hobgoblin, Orc, or anyone who delights in disease, death, plague, undead, and urathoa's secret "appetites" I.e. romancing undead and cannibalism. UGH! SO NOT ALLOWED!"
Same "third person"... Continues, "Pathfinder infinite has a few "Investigator" methodologies that revolve about Spirit mediumship. "your spiritual gifts obligate you to serve two worlds; the living who need counsel and consellation... the dead who need to fullfill a task left undone, or to once more be reminded of a moment from the life they had lived." seems, that your great Gramma's spirit might want to pass on her unique "Chicken and Dumplings" recipe the cures one stage of permanent enfeeble or something..."
Same "third person"... Continues, "Or another ghost, might long to "perform opera in opara", yet "another from Viridian might want to make amends to those family(s) he'd wronged in life [now their descendants]." still another from Adoran, just might want to savor a specific Brandy one last time... The Ghost of a girl who never got to grow up might wish to experience her "first kiss". not all of this is evil... plenty of Biblical "Seers" who did such things. Not all Spirit mediums (the real "witch of Endor") are blindly taking cues from King Saul and yoinking the Prophet samuel out of divine rest and reward, just to "Chat"..."
"third person"... ends with, "an Alternative to capturing freed souls and binding them into unending torement, misery, and slavery... is simply stating, "in a weird way your telekinesis attaches to the lingering resonances in physical remains (like the memories and ectoplasm that "speak with dead" and "object reading" gather information from) The remains are merely a set of "Rods", "Levers", "Fulcrums", "Joints" with a "memory" of how to stand/move on their own. This kind of "Puppetry" is not VOID and not true "Necromancy" and therefore is immune to Clerical turning, and related effects (alchemist's "Saint's pinky bone bomb"?)."

the second speaker from above ends the discussion with, "Absolutely right.
Nothing about how Necromancer is presented in PF2 locks you into any kind of "Dark overlord raising hordes of unliving suplicants"
Sure, the room is there to play that way, but it doesnt have to be."

it can really help, when the writers have done the required research and reading of mythical experiences... to write something that actually doesn't feel like "undeserved power, for losers who will never earn it" and or "World of Warcraft" button pushing...

Player, "in my rotation, I now push-button number 8 to summon the ghost of fourth edition which tanked for this very reason!"

Charge of the light brigade anyone?
what if this was a troop of undead asked to sacrifice for their homeland, their people, their faiths, their loved ones...

one last time?

A side note...

why aren't there any divine magic items of Iomedae, Arazni, etc. that were made (exist) to oppose the Godslayer, the Tyrant, THE TAR BAPHON... and all his widdle culties of de "whispering no way"?

geez, seems like ideas for content just pour out of players who bother learning the lore.

you can hire me,
I will work for the sole privilege of being able to share my ideas with you all. I.e. Free. last I checked... you seem to be missing a psychic warrior class.

I got zero problems. I like writing. do you like reading? you should try it!

Story matters, right?

Nine posts in one hour in your own thread is *wild*.

This isn't Twitter - slow down!

I have absolutely zero clue what you are on about. You're bouncing across three different topics and it's difficult to keep track of what you mean.

You're posting several paragraphs a minute, which are all very disjointed. Most of your posts seem to be about how you hate Pathfinder despite being new since it's not realistic enough, and you could do a better job than Paizo.

Your posts genuinely read like you forgot a few medications this week, and if someone politely asks you to slow down and explain yourself, attacking them is not the way to go.

A good place to start is Pathfinder Infinite, where you can publish your ideas referencing Paizo's material. It shows a bit more commitment than just making some forum posts, too.

Protip: you can edit your posts for a short time after you make them. I do this a lot if I realize there's something I want to add, or if there's something I want to rephrase.

OP saw Buda and came back from Nirvana.

Please sir, may I have a crumb of context?

This reads like a conversation that was had with some GM, somewhere, and that spawned a stream of consciousness barrage of posts.

I'm just so very confused as to what you're actually trying to say. Which is probably a bad thing if you want Paizo to hire you: their writers need to write stuff that their customers understand.

It isn't the worst abuse of a thread that I have seen.

somebody did that...

inspired so much since the pf2e "grand bazar", "Secrets of magic", the first "dark archive";
* Closes book, "This is good."
* LB, "it's the story".
* JB, "why don't you give him a million dollars"

no. that wasn't ever asked for. that is not what the author asked for.
money is not what PFI is about.
somethings are freely shared without conditions,
truth can be stranger than fiction,
did the author hear them?
what book was that?

Can they talk to the author? yes.
but please, use e-mail this time.

Considering that the word salad nature of your posts has gotten worse since this morning, it would probably be a good idea to take a few days off from the Internet until you feel more settled. But right now we have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say.

This thread reads like someone trying to livestream their response to reading an early copy of the book, but in message board posts that are also responding to social media streams that the audience has no guidance to find. It is an absolutely amazing case study in the chaos that can result in ignoring or mixing up the conventions of a media genre (social media posts vs. Reddit posts vs Forum message board posts with accounts tied to financial transactions with the company) with no interest in explaining the "what is actually going on here" to anyone who might try to participate in the conversation.

I would somewhat agree.

I'm leaning more towards neurodivergence - ADHD and dyslexic posting with a speech-to-text app could be one possibility. So it may be that this is as 'good' as they get - that there is nothing overly 'wrong', just different and unexpected. Which results in hard to understand for the rest of us.

As a neurodivergent person myself who so often is confused by what people are talking about and has been told creates confusion myself, I sympathize with OP here! I'm still not entirely sure what you mean, OP, but if you have any questions, please direct them here!

In the meantime, I worry that your many messages more or less to yourself does cross over into the spam category when considering our guidelines against spam include posts that don't nurture conversation in the community. If the community is unable to engage with you in a constructive way with so many messages, I'd say that's in that territory. In the future, try to keep your messages as concise as you are able! This is not too disimilar from his anti-PF rant on game balance in May in which he single-handedly got a dead thread locked.

I hope OP is doing okay.

Yeah, you are probably right. I'm certainly not qualified to judge. And even if I was, a couple of forum posts is likely not enough.

I can't speak to the earlier posts, but I believe this one is arguing that Pathfinder Infinite isn't what they want to post their ideas on because Pathfinder Infinite is primarily a site where people sell their ideas, and they are writing these posts because they want to share those ideas freely. There also appears to be a bit in there about the disconnect between Paizo as a company and the independent author, too.

At least that's what I'm assuming from the hypothetical discussion between Logan Bonner and Jason Bulmhan in the beginning, and the bit in the end about authors being left out of the loop and a request to speak through email. Not sure about that couplet there in the middle.

They have a new thread in which they are claiming they had the original idea for the Psychic class on Pathfinder Infinite, which Paizo stole to put in Dark Archive. At least that's as much of the message as I can work out.

incase none of you get it...

I was the "third person"
(NOTE: IA M NOT CLAIMING TO HAVE WRITTEN THE CLERIC OR IT'S FEATURES.)
and my description for "Not-necromancy" that I gave above, was a class variant (much like cleric disciplines allowing for different types of cleric) or class archetype (like the cleric "battle harbindger") for the psionicist class geist discipline, the telekinetic types.

the "NECROKINETIC"

in the thread I posted, find the google drive links.
you can have everything there. everyone can.

I couldn't get support,
I couldn't get help,
I couldn't get anything.
I've been alone doing this ever since 2001.
ever since BRC F ing up psionics with his "mind wizards" for Game 3.0 e

I think everything I have made, paid for, looked at or had A.I. vomit forth, is in those folders.

you'll see. I was never lying.

Asking $30,000 for the project. The most disconnected from reality (deleted) Kickstarter I've seen.

Confirmed with the last comments. There's no point engaging further. Make peace and move on.

I don't even know what to say right now. Life clearly hasn't been very fair to you.

At times like this I think I know why I play so many healers in games like this: because they'd know what to do right now and aside from offering sympathy, real life me has absolutely no idea.

I did look over some of the stuff in the links and there are some interesting ideas there.

OP, you're clearly suffering, and I'm truly sorry. If you want to talk about psionics, your ideas for psionics and so on, we can do that.

But right now, it looks to me like you're hurting yourself even more by being on the forums, if one person being slightly rude is enough to make you feel that bad. It's also currently very hard to hold a conversation with you, several posts at once across disconnected topics is off-putting at best.

Please log off for now, and when you're feeling a bit more stable (and I know given what you're dealing with, that term is relative) you can discuss the psionics you want to see.
