There is not generally some advance announcement of when new printings will be made, no. It tends to be tied to inventory running out, and making an announcement for people to not buy what you still have but wait for the next printing wouldn't make a lot of sense.

One nice option is to pick up the PDF as errata happens they are just auto updated. It is probably the most seamless way to be always up to date. One nice thing about starfinder core 2 is the game rules have had years to get the weirdness errated already. I am sure there will wind up being some stuff that winds up being necessary for the classes and starfinder specific stuff but at least the 2e rule part should already be pretty well sorted out for game play stuff.
Honestly with archives of nethys and already existing starfinder 1e books for lore and info if you already have pathfinder 2e I could see going a while before ever needing to buy the starfinder 2e core.

Hi all,
Interested in the new PF core books but I have an allergy to errata.
Is there any indication of when 2nd printings will be done, and if they will include errata?I know it's a work in progress and future printings will continue to recive updates.
the original core rulebook had 4 printings with errata added each time. Waiting for the second printing isn't a guarantee you'll have a book with all the errata in [or even the majority of errata it will eventually have in total]. The only way to make sure you'll be able to have something without worrying about errata is to get a PDF as that allows you to download the most current version with errata added.
And as a side note, even with the PDF, there are some things in the errata that will not show up in the books/PDFs. For instance, there is a core rulebook printing 4 clarifications that acts as an actual FAQ and isn't printed in the PDF/books.
So good luck with that allergy.

I can see the logic, but I'm not buying the 1st printing.
I generally avoid first printings of most RPGs unless it's a must have from day one, and PF doesn't fall in the cat for me.
Technically is the 5th print now.
We have 4 OGL license impressions and 1 on orc license all with errata about their previous impressions with the orc version being a drastic change of diagramming and division between the 4 main books (CRB+APG+GMG+Bestiary -> PC1+PC2+GMC+MC1).
I don't recommend to wait for new prints because Paizo makes new ones every time that they run out of stock, adding errata to them. What makes a loop situation where you always could have a new print with more errata at any time. So if you wait, you will wait it forever or in more practical vision will wait until PF3e where probably no more prints for the current edition would be made so probably no more errata would be made.
So just buy it without worries and deal with errata later. We have errata every six months now.

I've picked up the CRB+APG+GMG+Bestiary cheap (2nd hand, damaged, on sale), just to look at the system.
I'm not sure my group will take to it tbh, so if I go down the PF route with them, it will probably be the Savage Worlds version (which is fab btw).
I like pdfs for back-up but hardcopy if defo my preference.
I appreciate there will always be some errata, but the 1st printing (5th if you like) has a ton so I'll pick up later prints with the worst out of the way.
