Typo in Oracle Class Player Core 2?

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

I wanted to inform someone at Paizo of a typo in the Oracle class of the pathfinder player core 2 books. In the text it says that they get 2 spells per day at level 1 and in the chart it says 3 spells per day at level 1.

When I reached out to the community email to make Paizo aware of this typo and to ask for clarification which number was correct, I was told to try my luck in the forums and that there was no way to alert anyone who could make an official clarification otherwise. An easy to find official announcement should be made to clarify which numbers should be used in character creation.

Additionally corrections should be made to the PDFs and books. Those who already have purchased PDFs and/or books should be able to submit for a free updated PDF or just that class with the necessary corrections.

I was told by Maya that the Pathfinder devs and others who would be able to make official statements only on ever check the forums and that it is impossible for an email to be forwarded to the proper channels to make sure this information is known.

If someone could reach out to me with clarification on the issue and make an official statement to prevent further confusion, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and well wishes. Also happy new year.

Yeah. It is already in the errata for Fall 2024.

This was fixed in the Fall Errata patch.

PDFs do get free updates, but only when the physical book is due for reprint. The Archives of Nethys also will update their site with the latest Errata.

Thank you.

I don’t know why the person from the email couldn’t just point me in that direction or why it’s so hard to find without having to make a whole account and post on the forum. I had initially tried searching and nothing came up with this information. So thank you for linking me to the page.

They should still probably update the pdfs sooner than later and offer free PDFs with corrected pages. Especially with so many errors. Yikes!

The errata's release was very recent. Paizo staff also generally don't directly answer rules questions. They use the Paizo blog and (now) bi-annual errata releases for that.

Not sure of the pdf update schedule. But yes, if you bought Player Core 2, you will receive the updated version for free in your Paizo downloads area when that updated PDF is released.

Assuming you bought the PDF through Paizo's website or subscription service that is.

Insofar as I'm aware, people buying physical copies from brick and mortar stores recieve no such perks.
