Two years after sharing a Magus guide and constant updates to it I thought to myself I'd never write another one again. Yet here we are. So I humbly present...

Praise the Champion: A Holy Text for our Gods' Most Worthy

There's still sections I'd like to add and things I'd like to clean up a little, but I hope that the guide, even as-is, may provide some assistance to anyone looking for some advise on the champion class.


For Oath of the Avenger - not sure if you accounted for Lay on Hands inflicting -2 AC for a round on failure. It's actually pretty solid in that regard, and the trigger of "hurt your allies" turns it on for basically anything. Certainly, there's a tradeoff of using focus points for offense instead of healing, but you can also always get more focus points via domains and such, so...

I also don't think champion DC is that far behind casters, you can easily build to be only -1 to them at most levels (if that - you can match them at 5,6,9, and 17, while being -2 at 7,8,15,16,and only really falling behind at 18+ when they get Apex, Legendary, and a final stat bump back to back to back)
