Remaster rebuild questions

Pathfinder Society

Hi, I have a couple of questions about my character that I am rebuilding for the Remaster. I only get to play PFS at a con I go to once a year, so I don’t really know all the ins and outs of society play.

First - my character is a Duskwalker sorcerer with the Psychopomp bloodline. I want to rebuild for Sorcerous Potency and maybe some of the new bloodline feats. Psychopomp was not reprinted in PC2. Should I just use the blood magic the same and use the remastered spells where necessary?

Second - Duskwalker doesn’t need a boon anymore. I saw that you get a free resurrection with this boon once now. Is there a benefit to keeping this or should I get the AcP refund? Duskwalker cost 80 pts. at the time but I purchase Second Chance if I need it for 40 AcP…

And the last question - It looks like I get 66 gp foe having 16 xp. I counted up my chronicle sheets and it looks like I have 108 gp (I haven’t spent any of it during downtime). It looks like there is an alternate rule that if I sell all my stuff at 1/2 price then I could rebuy everything. If I did that could I also keep the rest of my unspent gold?

Addressing only the last question, you can sell your stuff back at full price as part of the remaster rebuild, in which case you can keep all of your unspent gold. If you are staying a sorcerer and keeping the same equipment, then you don’t have to do anything with regards to the gold.

The Psychopomp bloodline still exists, it's just in another book. So you can remaster to have the Sorcerous Potency while still retaining your bloodline.

As for the Duskwarden heritage... If you have had it for a while, the assumption is that you've already gotten the value of your ACP boon by having early access. So a refund is unlikely, but at least you will get a free Second Chance boon.

Ferious is correct about the gold expenditures.

If you wish, you can email Alex to refund the boon - that is explicitly part of the remaster rebuilding rules

If, in the course of this rebuild, you wish to refund any purchased boons, please email orgplayreportingerrors@paizo.com with your character’s name, Organized Play ID and character number, and the boon(s) you would like to refund.

I think the intent is that if you don't intend to use the ancestry anymore, you can ask for a refund (like if it no longer works with your build, or it thematically doesn't fit what the new, rebuild character is going for) - I don't think it's meant for "oh this ancestry is now free, I guess I could take the refund while keeping the heritage!" but technically speaking the rebuild rules don't make any notion as to *why* you want the refund, it just says you can ask for it if you wish.

So I was told that they do not refund Ancestry boons unless you haven't played them even with this rebuild.

I can confirm that. My other refunds went through except for the Duskwalker boon. At least I get a free resurrection now!

Yeah, the refund can't be done if the boon is now free. I wasn't sure how that worked and I asked about it. But you aren't stuck as a Changeling either if you paid for it and no longer want to be a Changeling. The boon is updated to have an additional affect if you choose to continue being a Changeling.
