Any good uses for Extend Blood Magic?

Advice

Without getting any extra blood magic as an imperial, the best use I can see is to get the +1 to AC or saving throw on Extend's cast for 1 round, and then get the +1 on the other for 2 rounds with the second spell. That's a focus spell and a spell slot spent for something not very impactful imo.

Is there a cool blood magic combination with this focus spell that I'm not seeing?

Everything under Tap into Blood. So recall knowledge.
Cool or worth it? Not really.

Nope.

I was afraid of that. I was mainly picking it up for the extra focus point for ancestral memories, but I at least hoped it had some neat niche uses. Even if I am just getting it to use ancestral memories more, I might as well get that focus point elsewhere.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It’s also dubious if you could keep the blood magic effect gained through Extend Blood Magic’s casting assuming you keep the extended one. There is now a line that suggests you can only have one blood magic active on yourself at a time. I’d ask your GM how they’d rule that for you.

Can you point out to me where it says that?

The only limit I read is that you have to choose one blood magic from what you know each time you cast a bloodline or granted spell. It has to say that because you can get other ones through feats now.

It's unfortunately not in the main blood magic entry, though it should be if it's intended. It's only in the blood magic entry in the Key Terms section right above the main blood magic entry.
