I would have sworn that over the weekend, as I was researching something totally unrelated, I encountered a way to combine two weapons so that they are reconfigurable. My idea is to combine a laser pistol and a laser rifle for a "survival carbine" that is easy to carry as a sidearm that will reconfigure into a longarm as needed. Why? Because it's a neat idea.
So - did I totally dream up the reconfigurable option?

There's a few ways to cram two weapons together, but nothing that's what I would call "ideal." Best is to commission a friendly nuar to use their species' maze core ability to combine two weapons. Beyond that, the levaloch trident series of weapons is an advanced melee weapon that can have a non-analog longarm integrated into it. It's not entirely what you're going after, but, there's also the mechanic's experimental weapon prototype alternate class feature, and the lvl 12 ability of the tinker theme kind of plays around, too.
Honestly, in a few ways, it's almost easier to just get extra arms, and wield two weapons, rather than paying to combine them and worry about switching modes or shifting grips :D
There are also the grenadier bracket, uniclamp, and bayonet bracket weapon accessories. Plus the called and bombarding fusions.
You could just say the bayonet bracket also allows the attachment of any integrated weapon (1 slot for a light bracket, 2 slots for a heavy bracket) instead of being limited to melee weapons only.

My idea is to have something like Bloodsport's weapon(s) from Suicide Squad - grab piece, pop/twist, new weapon, lather rinse repeat.
I'm developing a rule/method to allow a user to combine a smallarm and a longarm of the same name or same category into a reconfigurable weapon. It's a little tricky, but a fun exercise.
