Side Quests Timeline

Kingmaker Second Edition

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I made a document outlining each of the side quests in Kingmaker 2e, colour coding them based on the approximate level they show up, and then organising them based on location and certain conditions. I put a timeline at the end giving the approximate (and very rough) idea of the order in which the side quests take place. I did not include the main story quests, as I didn't feel they were appropriate to put here. The timeline itself will largely vary based on how fast your players are going and whether or not they build certain buildings at all. Hopefully this is something people can find useful!

This is great! I appreciate the work you put into this and find it helpful
(You actually beat me to the punch in putting this together. I had similar plans).

One thought I'm adding to my copy: listing the quest level(s) beside the quest titles (i.e. GATHERING FANGBERRIES (pg. 55) Quest Level 1-4).

I want to print this out to add to my GM Screen/Folder stuff. I don't have a color printer.
As I'm thinking about it, might help colorblind people too.

Thank you for doing this. Looking forward to referencing it in my campaign.

FWIW: the Google Docs link has a space in it that needs to be removed to access the file directly "...K5ZYo68 (space) 3CeY/edit?...)

Oops! Sorry about the link, didn't realise that's how it worked. I'll add the levels as per your suggestion - it was totally lost on me that colour may not be the most effective way to demonstrate level gates. Glad to hear you're finding it helpful! I've got a few other docs I'm working on that I may post in the future.

Thank you! Do you mind telling me how you did that? I'm not familiar with the coding required for such a Herculean task.

Sure thing. Below the post text box is a spoiler tag titled "How to format your text". If you expand that, it shows you some of the different tags you can use for your text when writing it. For the link, I used the URL tags, which have the format [url = Web Address Goes Here]Name of Website[/url] (eliminate the spaces around the "=" sign for it to resolve properly).

One important thing to note about Google Drive links is that sometimes when you copy and paste the link, a space gets added to the link and then it won't work correctly. lacker pointed out the one here. You can always hit the "Preview" button on your post, then click the link to make sure it's working correctly and find any problems before you hit post.

You also have up to 1 hour after you post to edit, so if you catch a mistake quickly enough, you can fix it.
