Gneblin are Svirfneblin?

General Discussion

I cannot find a reference to anything directly called a "gneblin" in Pathfinder 1e or 2e, but I assume they are a reference to "svirfneblin" which are in Pathfinder and have similar racial descriptions (and similar spellings).

For Starfinder:
https://aonsrd.com/Races.aspx?ItemName=Gnome

"Some gnomes have strong ties to a specific planet, its lands, or the caves beneath. These earthier gnomes, called gneblins, are less sturdy than their kin, but they have a much stronger will. Gneblins have +2 Wisdom and –2 Strength, plus the benefits of the dimorphic racial trait, rather than the usual gnome racial ability adjustments found in the Starfinder Core Rulebook."

For Pathfinder:
https://www.aonprd.com/RacesDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Svirfneblin

"In the dark below earth, svirfneblin protect their enclaves, keeping their small communities safe from the terrors of the lightless depths. Serious creatures with slate-gray skin, these gnomes vary greatly from their surface cousins by choosing to live in the shadowy depths and protect the world above from the foul creatures sharing their chambers, vaults, and tunnels."

I am just wondering if these are indeed a reference to the same creatures and what happened in the gap that made them want to restyle their name :D
