"Alchemical Items" trait or category? for reagents (Alch Ammo, etc)

Rules Discussion

Howdy!

So Alchemist's infused reagents specify "Alchemical Items"
Which on nethys is an actual category.
But there is also Alchemical the trait.

Do we know which the infused reagents is used for? the category only, or any Alchemical trait'd thing?

This wasn't much of an issue prior. But now there are Alchemical Ammos. Gunslinger's mution feat line specifies Alchemical Ammo for the reagents. But base alchemist does not.

So... if its Trait then alchemist can make those specific ammo. If its category it does not work as the Alch Ammo are Ammo category...

Does anyone know what that might be ultimately?
I've been looking at Alchemists with a gun, or more specifcaly Beast guns.

The fact that G&G didn't come with an alchemist feat to allow thatcreation makes me assume it should be the trait.

There is a difference between "Alchemical Items" (which is a category of things, like "Weapons" or "Scrolls") and "Items with the Alchemical Trait".

I don't think it is intended that you can use infused reagents to whip up an alchemical crossbow or alchemical atomizer just because they have the alchemical trait, so I would restrict it to things within the category of "Alchemical Items" rather than "things with the alchemical trait" unless you have a feat that specifically calls that thing out (the gunslinger's Munitions Crafter feat specifically calls out alchemical ammunitions, so with that feat you can definitely use your infused reagents for that).
