As I said though the flip side is I either have to give up two feats (armor proficiency and arcane armor training), a swift action each round and still possibly deal with it if the failure chance is high enough.
Not only that but you'll also have to deal with arcane spell failure if you cast in immediate action spell, making it worse than it already appeared. Rolling Arcane Spell failure on Feather fall gotta be real fun when you need it.

Only time I had arcane spell failure was then I was a non steelblood bloodrager, we were doing a prison break out of grey maiden central, i knocked out a pretty swole grey maiden and tried to impersonate her.
Which didnt work that well, unsurprisingly (bluff was good, disguise self less so, and the fiendish maidens had absonded with my trusty hat of disguise!!!), but seemed like a reasonable idea at that time.
It was also better then running around in prison rags. Especially because the Grey maidens did not make the elementary mistake of leaving the adventurers gear in an easily accessible stash close to the cells :).
It affected me with both castings I tried while under it, but these were the once that start when you start greater bloodraging, so other then a spell slot nothing of value was lost.

Well, according to Homer Simpson, I think it's "Save me Jeebus!"

I'm pretty sure the verbal component for feather fall is "oh %^&* oh %^&* oh %^&* oh %^&* oh %^&* oh %^&*" To quote the legendary comedian Jeff Foxworthy in his Redneck Olympics joke where the Hammer Toss event is replaced by smashing one's thumb with a hammer and then chucking it: "If you don't cuss, it don't count."
