I hate when I'm right, but this is exactly what I predicted: Jessica being a part of this story means we're about to have a American left wing vs. right wing battle instead of discussing the firing of Sara, Diego's resignation and the issues and allegations brought up by Anybody But Jessica.
Yes but without Jessica's tweets the oxygen never would have gotten to this story - it would have just been something talked about amongst us forum posters and absolutely nothing would have come of it - just like the time Jeff doxxed a poster for complaining.

Oh I can assure you that the oxygen would be there even without JP. The mistreatment of Sara has lead to an (re)awakening of legendary forum tro....vocal discussants such as Sebastian, Steve, TOZ, Freehold and myself, and coupled will all those young punks, it's more than enough to shake the house. The amount of old farts from 2011 who posted within the last 48h stuff that started with "I haven't posted in 10 years but this situation..." is so high that I feel like at an retirement home. Except, of course, the inhabitants are much louder, and they won't go down without a fight.

Wizards of the Coast is not a moral company and their products' quality is subjective (personally I believe Paizo stuff is better) and look how successful they are. It is not a simple matter and unfortunately lack of morality doesn't really matter that much (edit: when it comes to sales).

And you can on the record attest that all of these old heads coming out of the woodwork only did so because of the cryptic references in the 6 threads on the topic that existed here prior to Jessica's tweets?

The sheer number of them that reference Crystal's tweets as the reason they're coming here would tell me different.

I'm here, too! And watching things. I don't have anything useful to say that hasn't already been said, but I stand with Sara, Diego and Crystal.

I'm now fully expecting Mikaze to return.

Although the poster who may or may not be related to Gorbacz generally does a more than adequate job of capturing my thoughts on any particular topic (I'm not entirely certain we're not the same person conducting an elaborate nth dimension troll), I can speak for myself. I heard through the Facebook grapevine that Sara had been fired. I came to post a thank you and goodbye without knowing any context beyond the fact that she was leaving. Then I saw the ongoing s@+#show, followed the stench to the Tweet-which-shall-not-be-named, and got pissed off that the firing seemed to be less about Sara's performance (which has been exemplary) and more about her supervisor's poorly timed, ill-prepared, apparent ego trip to assert power and dominance.

Thus, my point has been limited to the fact that if your job is to supervise the customer service department, and you f@!% that up in such a manner that it erupts like this, you have failed in performing the basic functions and that should have consequences. This is some pretty basic stuff. It shouldn't be surprising that if you fire a prominent and well loved member of the community, and do it in such a way that their number two resigns in protest, your competence will be called into question.

So, I'm not here to join the hang/sanctify JP bandwagons, but the information JP provided specifically around Sara Marie did certainly inform my reaction.

(Also, I apologize for not mentioning Diego - I simply have more familiarity with Sara, though I'm 99% certain I've met Diego, and 100% certain he's a stand-up guy.)

There is no presumption of innocence in a public relations matter

Verdant Wheel

I , in my ignorance , believe Paizo should offer the jobs back to Sara and Diego and make a public apology while working to improve the condition of their employees . In relation to JP, if the accusations are not true, Paizo must take the necessary legal measures. This woman's statements are hurting the company. Another thing, I would very much like to hear the position of LIsa Stevens. A woman I've admired since the days of White Wolf.

This isn't a court of law, that doesn't actually apply, but thanks for playing.

Why not?

Why jump immediately to believing anything anyone says?
