Neutral Priests summoning spells.

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

This is a simple question, as both Summon Celestial and Summon Fiend require an alignment match that Priests of Neutral Deities cannot make what other options exist for them?

There is a priest of Pharasma in our game and the question came up whether a 'Summon Monitor' Spell would be available to them. This would allow the Cleric of Pharasma to summon Psychopomps in place of Celestials, as they are the direct servants of Pharasma.

Is there an existing rule on this, an existing alternate spell or is it just that Neutral Priests get NO summons to call upon?

They've got animate dead. Unlike the ritual create undead, it's not evil so a neutral character can cast it without any problems, Pharasma specifically might have a problem with it though.

I've been wondering about animate dead. It says there's no evil trait, but I imagine most people would see that spell and consider it evil in golarion right? I don't know a ton about the lore but I just assume that to be the case

Summon Monitor seems like it should be a spell (or series of spells), just like Summon Celestial and Summon Fiend. Must be an oversight.

Either that, or monitors have better things to do than being summoned. My impression is that at least the aeons and psychopomps are part of the machinery that makes reality work, and proteans might be too chaotic to be bound like that.

I've been wondering where Summon Monitor was, too. It seemed odd that it wasn't included.

I assume this is part of the same issue preventing Neutral Champions from being made (which bums me out a great deal).
