"Overrun" combat maneuver interactions

When attempting an "Overrun" combat maneuver, how does it interract with attacks of opportunity? My group is unsure if the movement itself would provoke attacks from the target of the maneuver (moving through or out of a threatened square) in addition to the attack provoked by the manuever attempt itself.

if you don't have improved overrun, the target that is being overrun will get the chance for an AoO. If the maneuver is successful no AoO is triggered for movement. If unsuccessful, you do not move any further. Should the target move aside, movement rules take over I think.

In the description of Overrun, it states that the maneuver may be attempted as:
1. a Standard action, taken during your Move
2. part of a charge.
This indicates the maneuver isn't it's own move action. Therefore, attacks of opportunity from moving through a threatened space during the entirety of the movement would occur as normal, whether as a Move action or a charge.

That being said, if you have an ability that says you do not trigger attacks of opportunity when charging and you decide to make an Overrun as part of a charge, your movement wouldn't provoke but the target would still get an attack of opportunity against the combat maneuver (unless you have Improved Overrun).

The Overrun Combat Maneuver CONSUMES a Standard Action that occurs DURING your Move Action. So, let's say you have a Move Speed of 30ft, and you want to move your full 30ft across the battlefield, but an enemy blocks your way 10ft into the path you'd like to travel. So, at the start of your turn, you would begin your Move Action and you move two squares (10ft) and reach the enemy blocks your path-- you would then perform the Overrun Combat Maneuver-- consuming your Standard Action and provoking an AoO(this AoO gets resolved immediately and before your CMB roll for your Overrun), and if your Overrun check fails, your turn ends in that square or nearest unoccupied square, but if successful, you Move into and out of the enemy's square and then continue your Move Action to a full 30ft and your turn is over (unless you have a Swift Action you'd like to use). If you have Improved Overrun, you don't provoke the aforementioned AoO when you initiate the Overrun. And if there are other enemies that threaten spaces you Move through along the path you travel, you would provoke AoO's from that Movement normally because you are performing a Move Action.
