So as some of you may know, ive been working on trying to build a cleric for the past few days asking for advice. Ive gone through like 5 different builds for a combat cleric, but every time i did the same question always came up "Why would i wanna play this over a warpriest?"
Eventually i came to the conclusion that IMHO the best way to play a cleric or at the very least a way that sets it apart from everyone else is as an off support or offensive support. Healing, Light/Good Spells, Buffs and either a focus on channeling with blossoming light or Summoning with herald caller. I already finalized a build with the former(Being more or less a pure caster and i just got done with some idea of the latter(With melee being a very secondary feature)

3.Energy Channel(Fire) or Power Attack
Bonus Feat:Augment Summoning

Bonus Feat:Superior Summoning
9.Summon Good Monster
11.Reach Spell
13.Quicken Spell
So 2 questions 1 for this build would say fire or heroism would be better and by extension would channel energy or power attack be a better feat to use?
I was considering making flame blade a primary spell, but i hated how you basically needed to wait until level 5 before the ball got rolling, so im considering just going full ragnarok online, grabbing a heavy mace and calling it a say.
What do you guys think?

Flame's for your own offense, glory/heroism works better for support. If this is a support character then get heroism.
Power attack doesn't use up any resource (easier bookkeeping if nothing else) and isn't subject to the most common energy resistance around. I'd go with that.
I'd use a longspear. As a summoner you have a front rank you can hide behind.
Intensified spell is fairly pointless unless you get the fire domain BTW. Try blissful spell or encouraging spell to help with the buffs if you go with heroism?

3rd level feat should probably be Selective Channel. Channeling is really efficient healing...as long as you can exclude your injured enemies.
Reach Spell is something you'll want sooner than later. If you are going Heroism take Reach at 7th instead of Intensified Spell. Also you might consider Extend Spell instead of Intensified Spell. If you cast a lot of buffs, extending the duration can be good occasionally.
On the other hand, Intensifed makes a lot of sense with the Fire domain. Also in that case, I'd consider taking Magical Lineage with Burning Hands as that will probably become your default 1st level spell.
