If it hasn't shipped, the money wasn't collected from your card. They just ran an authorization on the card for sufficient funds to cover the cost of your order. The money remains on hold (unavailable to you or to Paizo) until one of two things happens:
1) Your order ships, or
2) The authorization expires.

Note that it's generally only actually "unavailable" to you if you're dealing with a debit card tied to cash in a bank account. If it's a credit card, it's probably irrelevant since it could expire without ever settling and thus never hits a credit card statement. Debit cards will tie up your actual cash, though.
This is basically how the credit card processing system works, and why you sometimes can see duplicate transactions if you're at a store and they end up fuzting with the transaction a few times because some item was priced wrong or the cashier was confused or whatever. Only the settled amount matters, and those are often processed in large batches (IIRC a restaurant company I used to do IT for settled them weekly).
Another common one is gas stations, where it was/probably still is common to run an authorization of a flat amount like $50 and then settle the transaction for the actual amount purchased, which might be considerably lower.
Mine was sent via USPS. They apparently don't do tracking.
Yeah, no tracking, but it got here way faster than normal (got it this morning, east coast, got the email on the 24th saying it'd be shipping by the 26th, and arrive today the 28th, normally it's minimum a week to ten days from that first email)

My subs shipped Wednesday, USPS Priority Mail. It says "1 day" on the package, but it actually took two - got here about 12 hours ago. I'm not gonna complain, though. I think that's the fastest I've ever gotten anything from Paizo except pdfs. :-) I'm in upstate NY, btw.

Ha, that's bizarre! Mine shipped on the 21st and still haven't arrived in Kansas City.

Hi folks! The Warehouse has wrapped up shipping of August subs. If you haven't seen your August subscription order ship out yet, let us know by starting a new thread on the forums or sending us an email.
We're getting ready for September subscription shipments now. For any new subscribers, you'll notice that subscriptions during the fourth quarter will start to authorize earlier and earlier each month in preparation for the holiday season. The September thread should be up today or tomorrow!
