Is it 40? alien archive lists a speed of 40 and the racial traits don't list a speed but I want to be sure. Thanks.

You don't look at the "monster-side" stats unless the "player-side" stats say to do so. So in this case you call back on the CRB, which states:

CRB p. 17 wrote:

Speed

Your character’s land speed at the beginning of play is 30 feet,
unless she has an ability that modifies it (or penalties from
armor or encumbrance). See Chapter 8 for more information on
speed and movement.

You'll notice that the races in the CRB also don't list their speeds.

So, at the sake of being coarse, only movement impaired members of alien species join the Starfinder Society?

And some races get unseen augmentation to help them move faster?

Absalom Station strictly enforces an equal opportunity and diversity employment clause that allows for all manner of applicants to seek out the careers most meaningful to them without fear of judgment or envy, from shape-retention-challenged Barathu to five-legged Formians and Anassanoi with brittle skeletons.

Aliens in Starfinder have always used different rules from their player-race allowable versions.

It's pretty common that the alien-side stats have some things that might be a bit strong in the hands of PCs. Notice how PC formians also don't get the poison stinger. Movement speed isn't singled out here.

"Alright, we need to send some of our species to the starfinder society so they don't go traipsing about our cultural heritage unsupervised. Any volunteers? Sorry Click Clak and Clak click, you were too slow to step back, you're nominated.

Monster stats and PC stats have never been lockstep in Starfinder; this is a very good thing, because it means we don't have to keep track of racial hit dice or level equivalencies. Streamlining is good, if it means that I can play a weird alien bug-thing without throwing off the entire game's progression math.

Also due to Edition changes it's no longer called "unladen".

Haan PCs can't fly. They can float in a pinch, but not fly.
