Hinyasi Brawlers And Ranged Combat Maneuvers?

Rules Questions

This is the Brawler Archetype in Question.

The ability in question, Improvised Maneuver (Ex), says that when the brawler "hits an opponent with an improvised weapon", the brawler can perform the combat maneuver as a free action.

Presumably, this would include ranged improvised thrown attacks, but I am not sure.

Thoughts?

It would. Some Combat Maneuvers are problematic at Range, though. Overrun at Range doesn't seem to make much sense, for example.

The ability doesn't appear to alter the combat maneuver in any way other than allowing it as a free action. If you couldn't perform the combat maneuver at range, you couldn't do so at range as a free action.
