Is there better random weapon rolling chart...

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

...than is in the UE? Even with the errata it's seriously lacking especially with the "newer" books (eastern items, etc.). Is there such a thing or has anyone complied one? My weak google-fu hasn't come up with what I am looking for.
Thanks!

I am not aware of such an updated chart. Personally I rather directly pick the weapons I know (or I hope) my players will find interesting. In my experience they usually want something straight-forward, strong instead of something with multiple quirks.

But if you still want such a chart, you could expand the d100 to d120, for example. A d10 covers the last digit (10 being 0), while a d12 cares for the first one or two (12 being 0). That makes 20 new entries that can be used for 20 new exotic weapons - or 10 new exotic ones and 5 more common (each 2 numbers) etc.. If 120 is not enough, use a d20 instead of a d12. If you want 160, combine a d8, a d10 and a d2 - the latter decides whether you add 80 on the result.

I loathe random tables of all kinds, both for the nonsensical results they produce and the time the people putting the book together could have spent on something more useful.

Why not just assign weapons that feel appropriate? Orcs have big axes and swords and stuff they took from their enemies. A dragon's hoard includes the equipment of several knights errant. Some dwarven ruins contain especially well-made hammers, axes crossbows and a musket or two.

We'll, there's the "Mother of All Treasure Tables", but it's out-of-print.

I agree with Quixote.

Coming up with sweet loot is one of best parts of DMing.

The best use of those tables is to make them a DM menu for what you want to throw at players.

My favorite is a +1 Training weapon, that has a really obscure feat.

All good points, thanks folks!
