can I use weapon specialization with the solar connection epiphany for the mystic ? technically is a proficiency provided by my class

I think that's the intent, and I'd certainly allow it.

Likewise. The only things I would deny automatic specialization for, are for weapon types for which you had to buy proficiency with a feat. If you didn't need to spend a feat for it, you don't need to spend a feat to make it specialized.
