d20 Mecha and Starfinder Mecha

General Discussion

I finally purchased a copy of d20 Mecha today. The one from Guardians of Order, yep. Actually, I'm going to be using it for my Atlantis game. However, there's nothing stopping Paizo from downloading d20 Mecha SRD and adjusting it for a Starfinder Mecha book.

What do you think?

Is there not a copyright problem right there?

I presume d20 Mecha is Open Game Content, so as long as they followed the OGL, Paizo could do that.

They won't, for all sorts of good reasons, but they could.

It's open game content. Thats why they produced the d20 Mecha SRD.

Wait, Guardians of Order published d20 Mecha? I thought that long post-dated GoO going squirreling/vanishing/running off with the cashbox to a non-extradition country?

*checks* Nope, I was mistaken. For whatever reason I got it into my head that d20 Mecha was much later on.

My opinion about mechas in d20 System they work as constructs with a "living brain". If you face an enemy riding a mecha the XPs/challenge rating should be higher.

Do you remember when there were B.R.U.T.E mechas in Fortnite: Battle Royal?
