Assurance and Wild Shape

Rules Discussion

Hi, help me clear something up please.

I'm playing a Wild druid, just hit level 4 and thinking about taking Assurance in Athletics.
I'm trained in Athletics so normally with Assurance I'll have a score of 16 (10+2+4).
However Animal Shape at my level grants me +9 Athletics.

So, will my Assurance score be 16 or 19 while in Animal Shape?

Thanks

16. Assurance does what it says it does: give you a result of 10 + proficiency bonus. Note that your strength doesn't matter, either in or out of Wild Shape. (Wild Shape doesn't actually change your ability scores, but you can sort of imagine it does as a way to think about how Assurance works).

The bonus from wildshape isn't a proficiency bonus. It is incompatible with with assurance.
