Duplication of Weapon Training from Background and Class

Rules Discussion

If I take the Elven Weapon Training ancestry feat at 1st level, what is the effect if I receive duplicate weapon training in rapier, shortwbow and shortsword from taking the Rogue class at 1st level. Is there no effect? Is my proficiency level increased? Or can I choose different weapons for the class training (similar to the effect of skills from background being duplicated by skills from class)?

No effect.

You lose the double effect. Or you can go back and take a different ancestry feat instead of Elven Weapon Training.

IMHO Elven Weapon Training is only useful for an elf wizard who wants that old-school fighter-magic-user vibe.

EWT will likely be more useful to martial classes in the future if the Elven Branched Spear and Thornblade/Leafblade make a return. For now it's only really good for characters who want to upgrade from their simple weapon proficiency.

It doesn't hurt a monk that's looking for a ranged attack with a 60' range and 0 reload. Or an alchemist. or...
