Magic Fang clarification

Rules Discussion

On the spell Magic Fang, it states "Targets 1 Willing Ally".

Can I cast this spell on myself?

One other question: IF I'm able to cast this on myself - If I'm a Wild Order Druid, can I cast magic fang on myself then morph into a wild shape creature? Basically buffing myself then transforming.

thanks for any help!

This question was already answered but sure, before people start making mistakes:

"You never count as your own ally".

So no.

That is brutal, an iconic spell like that no longer can be used to self buff.

I wonder if you could do a workaround by getting your familiar to cast it on you

Familiars can't cast spells.

Familiars can't cast spells.

With spell delivery they sort of can, they deliver spells with a range of touch

Familiars can pick master or familiar abilities but anyway:

-By the rules, the master is still the person casting the spell so technically as written, it would still fall under the "you don't count as your own ally"

In general, like the book mentions, if it is too good to be true...it probably is the case.

As a furtherance of the issue caused in this case, Magic Weapon can be cast by you on a weapon you carry, but Magic Fang cannot be self-cast. Hopefully it was an unintended consequence that was missed due to the never your own ally change in P2, and we can see an errata on this.
