That was a lot easier. Ascension 16 completed with Silent.

Didn't even need pants.

ironclad is your favorite right?

I like Defect the most, but I think I'm better with Silent. Personally I find Ironclad a little boring.

I like defect the best as well is just super combo-ie

Of course not. You press 4 and then walk down 2 flights of stairs.

If only I was just a little closer to quitting I would have went there.

And doing it might bring you closer to quitting. Or getting fired. Either way, you wouldn't be working there anymore.

It would take a bit for me to get fired at this point. I will be quitting at some point this next year as I will be moving.

I thought Asmodeus was responsible for coffee... it’s hot, dark, wonderful at first... but there’s always a price to pay...

He makes a good point.

Freehold, he could just as easily be describing Monkey Santa. Don't get too excited.

We've all seen you grrrrinding those beans.

Just finished binge-watching the Season 8 Game of Thrones DVD.

My relief is here. Have a good day, everyone.

I also like defect best followed by Ironclad. I cannot stand Silent. On the other hand, my brother didn't like Silent at the start but it grew on him and he even did the heart with silent. Involved a very small poison deck with bullet time.

The Exchange

Over the weekend:

I was told to finish up the breadcrumbs so I made turnip and carrot fritters. I used about 700g of turnip, 100 g of carrot, 3 eggs, quite some bread flour, 4 bulbs of garlic, a big onion and salt and pepper.

pan fried version

baked version

We also went down to see the Christmas decorations.

Now that is a well decorated Christmas tree. Sturdy too.

Now I'm hungry again :P

(its very easy to get me hungry ;) )

lol.

speaking of making people hungry my brother made a brined, Cajun butter injected, deep fried turkey for our early Christmas celebration (he's going on vacation for 2 weeks to Tokyo) it was the Bomb.

I don't think it's real. Carting a real tree that big would be a pain not to mention maintaining it.

You prolly right.

Hi, everyone.

Late: Hey John.

Not been feeling great tonight. Seasonal depression maybe... or just all the bills and crap this year are bringing me down. I'll drink some

coffee my old friend. It's time to rely on you again. Because the cold is silently creeping, The bills build up while I'm sleeping, And the chemicals that were planted in my brain still remain.

And that's Ascension 17 beaten with Ironclad.

Man I have gotten others up a bit but I can't get silent anywhere. frustrating. I get what looks good then i get put against a boss that was made to beat me every time.

Yep, that's very frustrating. But then you sometimes get fights like I had.

Final boss was Deca and Donu.
Turn 1: Drink 2 Power Potions, get Demon Form and Barricade (thank the gods). Play those, plus 2 Impervious+ (40 block each), and an Entrench+ (double block). End turn with 160 block.
Turn 2: Play 2 Shrug it Off (8 block each), an Entrench+ (double block to over 320), and a Body Slam+, killing Donu in one shot.
Turn 3: Play another Entrench+ (bringing block to over 600), use Body Slam to kill Deca.

3 turns, no damage taken, easy-peasy-fresh-and-squeazy.

That is awesome every time I try for an armor build I can never get the cards I need or the set up takes to long. I want to try that exact build however.

It's a good one. Basically the only build I use for Ironclad. It can be tough, Barricade is a necessity and I didn't get one the whole run until I drank the potion.

I like going with ironclad with a Str build and a whole bunch of 0 attacks. The only problem is you need to be drawing a bunch of cards but you can sometimes 1st turn bosses. I think armor builds start to becomes essential in the later parts of the ladder tho.

I've done a modified armor build a few times. Sometimes you get the Barricade, Entrenches, and various good block cards, but can't find a Body Slam. Then Rampage is a good card to have. Just armor to infinity and let the Rampage slowly build in strength. Demon Form can also help with that, but it's so expensive to play that I don't really like it.

Yeah That's my biggest problem with demon form. The turn you use it you put yourself in a precarious position. You have to use it over armoring up which is sometimes fatal. However in the long game you will win with it. I had a deck with 2 upgraded once and I went with alot of energy relics and it went pretty well. It's hard to get to work tho.

Man it does not feel like December 21st.

Does it feel like December 22nd?

no more the other way.

22nd December?

Well maybe in like 8 more minutes.

Almost there.

The Exchange

Well there was Nasi Lemak at my friends party, the kids liked the baguette I baked, and there was lots of cake and drinks(Muscato=D) going around.

On Christmas day itself I will be unavailable until late evening as I have my cousins Christmas party and I'm making cauliflower rice.

Shrug it off is good for card draw on ironclad.

I have no idea what I'm doing for Christmas like at all. Noone has contacted me about plans my brother who would be my go to is on vacation. I think it will probably maybe be my S.O.'s family thing that we attend.

STS: Been trying to beat Ironclad a bunch lately. I always get the low blow of a boss or miniboss that seems to have my number every time. Like the one with only 20 hp but makes a ton of armor usually no problem for the silent or defect but He gives me so much trouble with ironclad.
