Wisp Ally I'm little confused

Rules Questions

When I use wisp ally does that mean everyone who targets or gets targeted by the bad guy gets the benefit of harrying or cover fire? Or does it work just for one teammate just like if you normally did a harrying/cover fire? Also, if only one person benefits, would my mystic be able to get the benefit if I choose myself for the harrying/cover fire?

It just works for one teammate, like if you regularly did harrying/covering fire. (Covering fire is slightly altered, as you are limited to defending your chose ally against only the enemy who has the Wisp Ally on him.)

You can choose yourself to benefit, although that won't help on the first round if you choose harrying fire, since you won't be able to attack that same round.

A minor point, but you don't choose an ally for harrying fire. It benefits the next ally to attack.

I meant you can choose (on your subsequent rounds) to shoot the creature when you choose harrying fire as your option, which will ensure you get the benefit - both happen on your initiative count.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I tend to house rule that it works that way for covering fire, too. Having the -2 penalty apply to whatever next attack an enemy makes doesn't break anything, and it fits the logic of covering fire fine ( "get the enemy to duck and have a hard time shooting back" ).

Thanks that make it clear now
