One thing I tend to do a lot is copy the stat block of a monster into my game notes so I don't have to flick through the monsters manual. This is particularly required if I am adding the Elite (or other) template.
A major source of annoyance for me is that the action symbols don't copy across. I would really like the action types to be included in the text for ease of use.

I advocated using letters at one point...
A << An action
A\ << two actions
A\\ << three actions
/A << a reaction
A (strikethrough) << not an action
It's compact, clear, consistent, and compatible. I am certain the art department will never allow it because it's too simple. <Grin>

I too find it frustrating that the symbols don't copy. I go back and add [[A]] for each action (usually in a dark red). It would be very nice if the symbols were released for use at least once the new edition is released.

Any time I 'copy' stats from the book. I'm taking a screenshot of the PDF, pasting it into an image editor (Paint) and then pasting into a Word Processor (Word) that allows for images.
To me it makes a consistent look and feel to the original (since it's a direct copy) And usually the info I'm copying it very clear and doesn't have any short hand that I may have added to make the descriptions, etc any smaller.
So far with the play test I've been very happy with this, and I have encouraged my players to do the same things for feats, spells and features.
