The intention has been to incorporate all of the AP content and then build upon it inspired by some community additions to create a kind of "enhanced edition". Just how well the devs managed to pull it off will become evident in the next few weeks, but from my beta experience I would say if you stick to the books then your players can possibly be underwhelmed with the original AP.

Hello!
Haven't got time to play. Wanted to check - how close to original AP is game story?
Had thoughts to GM Kingmaker AP to my players, but all of them are now heavily playing Pathfinder:Kingmaker PC game, so wanted to check if this is still viable choice of AP.
I've only played through the first module of Kingmaker on tabletop. (And a bit of the kingdom building in Part 2.) So far, the game is very close to the adventure path, down to the sidequests.
There is some foreshadowing for later events added in, as Voss mentioned. A few details have changed (Bokken gives the Moon Radish sidequest instead of Svetlana, for example), and the dungeon at the Old Sycamore has been substantially expanded, but it's very faithful to the adventure.
