The only way to craft snares at level 1 seems to be to be human and use your ancestry feat on General Training to take Snare Crafting. It would be awesome if this was more available from level 1, especially for rangers who might want it to be part of their character from the start.
In general, making most player archetypes available and fit their flavor at level 1 would be awesome, so we don't have to wait until level X to really play the character style we want.

There is a reason that the Playtest Rulebook gives us the formulae for Backgrounds, and that the Module includes several more...
Backgrounds are intended to be flexible at best, and replaced by campaign or character specific backgrounds written by the GM. Since you need not meet the prerequisites a GM could even allow early access to feats that normally don't become available until later. I admit though it would have been easier just to let 1st level characters have a General Feat instead.
