Forgotten runeslave

Rise of the Runelords

My players managed to create a runeslave and then forget about it. They've long since left Jorgenfist, although they may return at some point to visit the library. The runeslave is now the sole inhabitant of Jorgenfist. Any ideas how to utilize the situation?

If they decide to go back to the library, have the runeslave waiting for them, excited that they came back! If not, you can have the giant try to seek them out, unintentionally scaring people. Maybe make it like a sidequest where this giant is looking for them, and they can jump to conclusions about it, but it turns out to just be the eternally faithful slave they made out of a dead giant using the evil cauldron, then abandoned.
(Hopefully that got the PCs at least some Sloth)

I would point out that Runeslaves have Arcane Delay and eventually the thing will perish on it's own.

The rules don't seem to provide a clear answer for how an abandoned runeslave would respond. The Shifty Mongoose's suggestion of a devoted slave chasing the pc's like a lost puppy seems like a good one.

Other unsolicited comment: creating a runeslave seems like an evil act. Accruing sin points would appear to be called for.
