which feat should i take asap?

Advice

Kip up or quick draw. I am playing a shot on run build thats all about being in constant movement between covers i have not taken shot on run yet because i am only level three. Which would you take first? I have mobility and improved initiative as my feats.

What race are you?

Remember that Ysoki get kip up for basically free.

Kip up is very useful if you like to take advantage of the bonuses prone can provide.

Race the hairy elves of traixus. And both are really good feats to have. I do a lot of jumping and jump flying. So thats why i was looking at kip up because i may not always make my landing rolls. Is drawing a weapon during a move action still free-ish?

Ah, so you're playing a member of the noble and mighty Galra race then, eh? In that case, I'd recommend kip up. More likely to be useful in combat.

lol what? no ravingdork, I am playing a ryphorian. So far the consensus is saying kip up. But as of last session I have been put down a path to find that one feed that gives you pluses to your AC against attacks of opportunity against shooting/ranged while in close combat. That maybe a good feat to have as wel. I just do not have a name for it. Time to hunt.

I believe he is referring to a species from Voltron, which happen to look similar to ryhporians.

Lol okay.

What class? Operatives (with the right exploits while using trick attack) can ultimately ignore AoO from movement (that is, they don't provoke them at all).

Draw or Sheathe a Weapon

Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat or putting it away so that you have a free hand requires a move action. This action includes activating or deactivating the weapon. ...snip...

Exception: If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you can combine drawing or sheathing a weapon or weapon-like object with moving up to your speed as a single move action.

Quickdraw feat makes drawing a weapon a swift action instead, but really this only matters if you plan to make a full attack on the first round of combat rather than first moving into position. Since you can get a quick release sheath as an armor upgrade that basically lets you do the same thing, I'd go for kip-up of the two.

Personally, my early feats are always Weapon Focus:(anything) then Versatile Focus since +1 to hit with all weapons is actually pretty good in a game based on bounded accuracy principles.

You still can’t use a full attack with QuickDraw since it uses up your swift action

Called weapon fusion does the same thing and does not cost a feat. As for my class its a mystic soldier.

I took kip up btw. Have not used it though.

Unless they are thrown weapons, which get pulled out for free when combined with an attack or full attack action. But other than that niche application, that is generally true.

Oddly Quick Draw is more useful to be able to put away a weapon (rather than dropping it), draw a new weapon, and still attack (move, swift, standard) in one turn.
