Hey all,
So one of my players wants to make a Muscle Mystic (I cast FIST!) and the idea is to use the Healer's connection to go and Steal Life while healing the team around him. I love the idea and wanted to make sure everything fits.

CLASS: Mystic (Healer Connection)
STR: 14
DEX: 13
CON: 14
INT: 8

Feat: Weapon Focus (Unarmed)
He wants to play the long game by reaching 18 in STR CON and WIS at lvl 10, and take a level in SOLDIER along the way for the Blitz and proficiencies bonus. DEX 13 is for Mobility to unlock other feats (I'm not sure where he's going with this TBH). He wants to get both Versatile feats and for his ranged weapon go with a Starknife (Thrown Weapon) with Called fusion.
I wanted to know: can he uses Cleave with Steal Life(Su)? The way the skill is written, it requires a melee attack against EAC, but it's obviously not a regular melee attack that could cleave around.

Unlike pathfinder, there is no wording that implies one can include a melee touch attack (like jolting surge) with an unarmed melee attack (like the vesk’s natural attack). RAW, both are separate standard actions, and require two different actions to do. I know, our Vesk technomancer Fist-Wizard was disappointed as well.

If you are going for blitz dip, then do it at lvl 1. I would suggest stats:
STR: 16
DEX: 14
CON: 13
INT: 8
WIS: 12
CHA: 10
This way your revolve is dependan on strength, so 4 revolve at lvl 1 this is better for melee build as you will be hit and need rest. At lvl 2 get a personal enhancer for a 18 str this gives you more resolve as you will burn some of it with your healing connection

Punch-mystics I can confirm are quite fun. Consider, however, dumping Dex to 10 and wearing heavy armor, especially if you do dip soldier at 1st level.
With mystic's BAB you want a good Str score (at least 16) so you can actually hit things. My punch-mystic started with Str 16, Dex 11, Con 12, Int 8, Wis 16, Cha 10 and has done quite well.

Not a Mystic, but I have been looking at a Technomancer build using the Junksword spell from Pact Worlds. It actually looks like a lot of fun, especially since you can tailor the weapon every time you cast it, and it lasts 10 minutes/level.
My current idea uses the Steward archetype. The Junksword can have Reach and Nonlethal as traits; if you cast Supercharge Weapon, you could actually knock out a lot of low-level enemies outright with your Junk Cattle Prod!
