Hi all,
I was wondering if having 1 level as Arcanist with Twilight Sage archetype would allow the character to take the Extra Arcanist
Exploit feat.
I am doubtful since the description states:
"This ability alters the arcanist exploit gained at 1st level."
...and...
"At 1st level, a twilight sage must choose the arcane barrier exploit as her first arcanist exploit."
...so I'd assume the Twilight Sage does have Arcanist Exploit since 1st level just like the "vanilla" Arcanist.

P.S.: I was thinking about dipping 1 level in the arcanist to get Dimensional Slide and but the Consume Life feature seems intringuing...
would be possible to get it with Extra Arcanist Exploit?
P.P.S.: I was also wondering:
Raising the CL with a trait like Magic Knack would increase the arcanist level ALSO for purpose of the Dimensional Slide class feature?
Twilight Sage gives Arcanist Exploit, even though it is altered and choose a specific one, it meets the qualifications of Extra Exploit. You get the Consume Life Ability just for taking the Archtype, it is a Sub out for Consume Spells. Magicak Knack boosts caster level, not arcanist levels, Dimentional Slide is based on Arcanist Levels and not Caster or Character levels, so it would not help here.

But I think I might have found a replacement for it...a feat:
Tapestry Traveller!!
"...if you can teleport as a supernatural ability, you treat your class level as if it were 2 higher when calculating the total distance that you can travel with this ability."
This should work instead, right? :)

Yes, Dimensional Slide Exploit is a (SU), so it would work, Tapestry Traveler has a Lvl 5 pre-req only.
