Future Setting Advancement

Prerelease Discussion

I can completely understand why the setting hasn't really advanced in the last 10 years. However, with the rollup in the 2E release, are we going to see it structured to let smaller updates be viable rather than waiting for an entirely new edition to see the setting evolve?

Not sure. But I think they have said that the completion of PF1 APs are going to be part of the core assumptions. Also I saw a dev (can't reacall who or where) saying that they dislike the idea of just printing another massive overview book like the Inner Sea World Guide (because they already made that book, twice). And that they were also leaning against wide but shallow coverage of setting like that. So I think it's likely we'll see bits dropped in various places without having to wait for a big book of setting. We already have been getting some of this, I notice the Adverturer's Guide talks as if Second Darkness and Curse of the Crimson Throne were completed.
