I’m putting this here since it involves accessing Paizo PDFs, please move it wherever it should go, if not in this forum. (I also figured IT-savvy people might browse here and may have decent suggestions)...
I rarely download PDFs but when I do I’ve always done so on my iPad and unzipping/opening them in goodreader has always been a doddle. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work anymore (I get a message that the developer needs to update the app for the new operating system and no updates have been forthcoming in a few months now).
Any suggestions for an alternative? It doesn’t need to have any bells and whistles, but does need to be very simple to use. All it has to do is be able to unzip a Paizo PDF and open it.

Good Reader is still working for me on the iPad and I download to it every month. I updated to version 4 sometime last summer though and I'm certain I've seen updates for it during the last month or so.
I'm guessing maybe you have an older version that they're no long supporting?Version 4 is a separate purchase ($5) and install.

Yes, if you're still on version 3 of Goodreader, that's a 32-bit app, and you'll get a warning on iOS 10, and it will no longer run on iOS 11. Goodreader 4 works fine, though. Also, Goodreader 5 is coming soon.
Personally, I prefer PDF Expert, though, because that app can build a fulltext index across your PDF collection, making it easy to quickly search through all of your PDFs at once, which I find very useful.
