Just today we found out that a whole different ending to QUANTUM LEAP was filmed. And this new material explains a few things about the ending that didn't really make sense.
I love this stuff. 25 years after sitting through one of the oddest TV finales, a few of those questions have now been answered :)

That was a damn strange way to end the series, and they never did resolve the Evil Leapers sub-plot
Daria would be another great show to bring back right now. Of course, there would be two weighty considerations:
- It could be utterly ruined if the wrong people took hold of it, but on the other hand, if you had the right writers, it could be fairly powerful.
- Would it be better for such a show to show the same characters at the age they would be today, or take the same characters and reintroduce them as contemporary high school students? I don't know which would be better.
Watching that show now, one thing that is hard not to notice is how much WORSE everything has gotten since the late 1990s - and it was bad enough then.
This one's tough. Daria was brilliant and never got enough airtime.
But it was very much a product of its time in many ways, and I'm not sure if doing a contemporary version would recapture the magic. Though done right, as you say, there is a lot in the world to be commented upon by a precocious sardonic teenage misfit.
Mabye a one-off "where are they now?" special?

Huh. Something like that, maybe... but it feels a little off.
I'd never thought I'd say this in any context, but Aubrey Plaza is waaay too flat-toned here. Daria was deadpan, not wooden (and there is a difference). And Plaza can definitely navigate the difference (see Parks and Rec). With the right direction she'd be a great casting pick though. The general gist was quite amusing.

I think it's clear now that was one element they were going to revisit in the sadly-denied Season 6.
I don't think we could have clarissa explains it all without marissa joan hart same thing for sabrina the teenage witch.A Netflix show is already in the works. You do realize the character existed for well over a decade before Hart was even born, right?
Gonna be a more horror-oriented take, based on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic. Kiernan Shipka in the lead role.

That fake Daria movie might be pretty fun. Though DQ is right that Aubrey was being a little flat there. But that could be easily fixed if they were to do it for real.
I agree, that fake Daria was too deadpan...even for Daria.
I have no interest in a dark version of Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
I remember watching some episodes of Quantum Leap but never really got into it.
