using Wisdom as casting stat instead of Charisma for a bard

Advice

I could swear I've read somewhere about a trait/feat/something that allows a dwarf to use Wisdom instead of Charisma for his casting stat, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I think it had 'Sage' in the title. I've tried some searching here, but I'm rather pressed for time. Does anyone know/remember what I'm talking about, and help me find it in the rules?

Many thanks!

It's the Sage Sorcerer bloodline (which is a mutation of Arcane IIRC), not anything bard related.

A couple things:

That's the one that makes it Intelligence-based; you're thinking of the Empyreal Bloodline.

I can think of one other thing that is much more in line with synjon's query, but unfortunately, it's not for Bards either; it's the Rivethun Spirit Channeler Archetype for Mediums - which is based in a Dwarven esoteric tradition and well-suited to Dwarves, but is not exclusive to them.

This thread is a great resource for seeing variations to casting stat and type.

Caster Variations

I didn't see anything related to the OP's request exactly. Perhaps it's from a 3PP resource?

You might be thinking of the divine bard from 3.5e's Unearthed Arcana.

I think it was the Empyreal bloodline, and I just didn't remember that it was a sorcerer-only thing. I've been reading a lot of optimization guides lately...

Thanks for the help!

That's the one. Sadly, over a year and a half late....
