Ultimate Wilderness: Any hope to see a "real" FAQ and / or errata?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Sometimes I disagree with my DM about his interpretation of rules, but in the last session when I cheerfully tried to "sneak in" the new rules about harvesting poison and salvaging he told me:

"No...the Ultimate Wilderness has not been FAQed and there are a lot of open issues with it, so you cannot consider those rules in my game..."

To be honest, for one time, even if it "burned", I had to agree
with him:

There are too many open issues (the preservation of poison through Craft (Alchemy)...which would require a lot more time than the "duration" of the harvested poison, the fact that raw materials can only be foraged for repairing and not for crafting, what constitutes 'similar material' for purpose of salvaging, etc...) and these are left to the "house ruling" of the DM, which a DM might legitimately not want to do...

However I am wondering:

On the Product Discussion there is a HUGE thread asking for errata & FAQ, but the only question that has been errata-ed until now it is a *single* question...

What I am wondering seriously...is...do you think there is any chance that a real and complete FAQ and/or errata will be issued (also given the amount of issues raised)?

...based on your experience...how much time could take to have a full FAQ and/or errata?

Because checking the FAQ, they seem all quite old and not so much updated...and, on top, they seem to be only made for the "major" ("Ultimate ... ") books...

Thanks,
Skarm

These things take time. The most errata'd book (the ACG) was released in August 2014, and the errata came out in July of 2015.

Ultimate Wilderness has been out for like a month, I wouldn't expect anything major on the FAQ/Errata front until next year some time.

The entire FAQ system has been slow to update for months now, which I think is a logistical issue since FAQs need to be discussed by the whole PDT before they go live. Hopefully they can get that sorted out soon (the one Ultimate Wilderness FAQ we got was "make Shifter's Edge work the way everybody on the PDT thought it worked before they got the actual final product and saw that it was different.")

FAQ's could come in anytime, though as PossibleCabbage mentioned, it's been slow lately [and it's not exactly quick at it's best].

As far as errata, the general 'rule' is that those come out when a book gets a reprint. ACG was an aberration, as it was SO riddled with errors that they pushed one out early. We COULD get lucky and see one early with wilderness but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There is never reason for hope.
