Too long has the society suffered under the incompetent management of VC Balentiir. Despite the supposedly secure vaults of his jail-turned-lodge, no less than 3 chronicles begin with theft of society property from his lodge. A fourth tells of supply caravans under his direction being repeatedly pillaged.
He is also wasteful of agents’ time and society resources. Despite access to allies with long distance, even extra-planar transportation, he dispatches veteran agents on overland routes that add months to the expedition. This extra time may have been responsible for the death of at least one undercover agent. In one notable case, VC Balentiir sent the same expedition team to Belkzen, Cheliax, and Varisia in turn; forcing the team to return to Sothis after each trip. Aside from the many lodges better situated to dispatch teams to these locations, a single expedition traveling to each in turn would have been much more efficient.
His likeness is now being included in the Chronicles of those he dispatches – the nerve... This man is not fit to run a lodge, and should be removed from his office as soon as possible.

Can confirm. There are a lot of exciting developments in the Adventure Card Guild stories.

How incompetent can he be? He sent me on his little wild goose chase. This was a good thing, as my magic saved the collective asses of my team. I mean <redacted> are ridiculous. Took three fireballs to finish them off, I shudder to think what would have happened to me if I didn’t have three to use!
No, the man is practically a genius. I may agree to take one of his missions again. If I deem it important enough,that is. Especially if we are going after magical power.
I wouldn’t worry about questionable morals... he’s no Shiela Heidmarch.... now there is a woman you can respect!

I heard from my Uncle that he once hid a Vampire in the basement of the Sothis lodge, bricked up the wall, and hoped that nothing would go wrong.
That's what my uncle said was the trouble with secrets. They come out and bite you.
