Greetings,
I have a Ratfolk RFS boon and my friend has a PFS Ratfolk Gulch-Gunner he's been trying to find a partner with.
I'm looking for a way to get Outflank for my Allies without them actually having the feat themselves, as the Ratfolk's Barbarian FCB gives them some incredible damage while flanking.
Best I can think of- is Vangaurd [Slayer] for Tactician and Studied Target; or Inquisitor [possibly Infiltrator or Umbral Stalker] for Solo Tactics.
Downside being taking away from the Barbarian class lvls.
For the Barbarian aspect, i was thinking either Dreadnaught or Titan Mauler, mostly for the "oversized" weapons.
Str 16 (-2)
Dex 14 (+2)
Con 15
Int 10 (+2)
Wis 10
Cha 7
Unless someone can make a case for Dex-to-Dmg via Slashing Grace or something, a strength build is the way to go methinks.
So, would it be worthwhile to level dip for Tactician/Solo Tactics; or should my friend just suffer a dead feat. What direction should i take this barbarian?

Solo tactics doesn't give them outflank. Only you would benefit as if they had the feat.
Probably the best class for giving teamwork feats is paladin holy tactician as at 3rd level paladin you can grant all your allies a teamwork feat until you decide to grant a different teamwork feat.
If you don't want to be a paladin, a battle scion skald can grant teamwork feats as a part of raging song.
If you want to not care about allies, you can get flanking for your self if you take scurrying swarmer and attack the same target as another creature in your square. I used this tactic to get autoflanking on my vivisectionist alchemist who rode his mauler familiar.

Most cavaliers can get the tactician ability at 1st level rather than the 2nd of a vanguard slayer, which takes away one less barbarian level. The constable archetype gives improved unarmed strike or the daring champion archetype weapon finesse, which last could start you on the way to dex-to-damage.
An urban barbarian might go with (including racial mods)
Str 13, Dex 19, Con 14, Int 11, Wis 10, Cha 7
& get fencing or slashing grace at level 3, including the daring champion dip. Str 13 allows power attack and keeps you from being utterly helpless in the first 2 levels; you can increase strength with controlled rage if you want. Con 15 for raging vitality is unnecessary on an urban barbarian.
The surface sprinter alternate racial trait would probably be good to take on an urban barbarian.

Scurrying Swarmer isn't PFS legal, I was considering the Mouser [Swashbuckler archetype] for such a tactic.
I was also considering Vexing Dodger as a level dip for Limb Climber, but don't think that ability is relevant with Swarming.
I did look at the Cavalier, the downside is still it's a Once-per-Day unless i invest in more Cavalier levels.
I was considering getting IUS as a contingent if i was ever disarmed.
Atleast with Inquisitor and Solo Tactic- the Teamwork feat is constantly active.
If only other archetypes got the Solo Tactic...
I'd like to avoid the Urban Barbarian because it's too often a go-to for too many builds.
I was considering the Surface Sprinter trait for barbarians.
This character is still in the planning stages, so i may rescind my stance on either constable dip and the urban rager... but i like unique builds

There's magic items which give more uses of tactician. Not cheap ones, true - the cheapest is the Resplendent Uniform Coat at 7K.

That would be useful... I have a Grippli Cavalier, he could use that as well.
more useful than the Vambrace of the Tactician.
An Order of the Dragon Constable wouldn't be bad... Order of the Hero would most always be in effect, considering Ratfolks are small creatures.

You mention crazy damage with their fcb but it says: When raging, add +1/4 to the barbarian’s swarming trait’s flanking bonus on attack rolls. So that’s +1 to attack every 4 levels when raging and flanking using your racial trait swarming, which RAW is a very specific circumstance.
I like the concept of ratfolk barbarian, if you’re going to be playing with your friend all the time just both take outflank, and use a high crit range weapon to provoke aoo for your friend.

I'm asking to see if the Scurrying Swarmer Feat is PFS legal, because that feat alone would allow me to not need to dip into anything.
@Skulk- i may have been overzealous with my enthuasiasm toward the FCB, every four levels for an additional point of damage is still an additional point of damage.
@avr- going Dex-based requires several feats to become viable- Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus [which all in all isn't bad] then Slashing Grace.
With a 16 Str, i can just take Power Attack and get some decent damage in right out of the game. I may go crit-fishing with a Falcata, and even dip into Rondelero Swashbuckler to get Weapon Finesse on a Falcata ;) and just go nuts with that.
Swash 1> Weapon Focus (Falcata) [Weapon Finesse (Falcata)]
S1/B2> Fencer's/Slashing Grace
S1/B4> Scurrying Swarm
S1/B6> Outflank
compared to:
Barbarian 1> Power Attack
B3> Scurrying Swarmer
B5> Outflank
B7> Raging Vitality

I was going to suggest Pack Rager (which is legal as a boon from a particular chronicle), but it doesn't get the tactician equivalent ability until 7th level.
Guiding Blade swashbuckler gets an interesting similar ability, gets a bonus teamwork feat, and keeps swashbuckler's finesse making a Dex build a little simpler. And a swashbuckling rat is kinda cool and thematic.

Revisiting this thread.
Since i need to need BAB of 4 to get Outflank, dipping into Cavalier can wait til atleast lvl 5.
i'm entertaining hte idea of running around with a bastard sword and eventually getting Ex. Weapon Prof. so that way, if i take the Constable [cavalier archetype] I can punch and swing my sword, while Raging.

Ratfolk Pack Rager Barbarian
16 Str/14 Dex/15 Con/10 Int/10 Wis/7 Cha
1> Power Attack
2*> Overwhelm/Escape Route
3> Raging Vitality
4> Lesser Cult Totem (Rage Power)
5> Furious Focus
6*> Outflank
7> ?
With the Outflank bonus being added to my damage thanks to Lesser Cult Totem, and more damage stacked from taking the Ratfolk's Barbarian FCB... honestly, with the LCT taking away my To-hit chance, i may be better off not taking Power Attack/Furious Focus feats to focus on a better To-hit Feats, like Weapon Focus, et al.
Cooperative Swarmer is a legal feat; i just wish that Scurrying Swarmer would get the okay from AR.
Overwhelm would be fun for having a party full of small sized martials.

Talking to my friend who's playing the Gulch-Gunner, he's helped me make some decisions-
first being: playing as a Core Barbarian. The Raging Strength bonus increases my damage and increases me "to-hit" chance; as opposed to the inherent +2 Dmg from the Unchained Barbarian. Going Core, i'll need Raging Vitality to keep alive, especially at later levels.
Second being: this is a literal "one-hit wonder" build, since most of the time i'll be wanting to seek flanking opportunities. This build option means foregoing iterative attacks, and striking with Furious Focus/Vital Strike.
So far, may build would look something like this-
16 Str/14 Dex/15 Con/10 Int/10 Wis/7 Cha
Earth Breaker +5/1d10+4 [Standard], +7/1d10+7 [Rage], +6/1d10+10 [Rage+Power Attack]
1> Power Attack
2*> Overwhelm/Escape Route
3> Furious Focus
4> Surprising Accuracy (Rage Power), +1 Str
Earth Breaker +8/1d10+4 [standard], +12/1d10+7* [rage], +12/1d10+13* rage + power attack]
*(while raging, +1 dmg while flanking/ratfolk barbarian fcb)
5> Raging Vitality
6*> Outflank
7> Vital Strike
8> Lesser Cult Totem (Rage Power), +1 Str
Earth Breaker +13/2d10+6 [standard], +18/2d10+9 or 2d10+15* when flanking [rage], +18/2d10+18 or 2d10+24* while Flanking [rage + power attack]
*(getting +2 dmg from FCB, +4 dmg from LCT rage power, +3 hit from Surprising Accuracy, no PA penalty from Furious Focus.)
This is not counting the various stat bonuses i'd get from gear. I do plan on getting an Adamantine Heartseeking Vicious Earth Breaker when able.
9> Furious Finish/Devastating Vital Strike
10*> ? [bonus teamwork feat]
