two weapon fighting and unchained monk flurry

Rules Questions

Can an unchained monk use two-weapon fighting with its flurry of blows. I don't see the restriction language that you find in the FoB for the regular monk.

Unchained Flurry of Blows says:

Quote:
He takes no penalty for using multiple weapons when making a flurry of blows, but he does not gain any additional attacks beyond what’s already granted by the flurry for doing so.

So no, you can't use TWF with flurry.

The Exchange

The way I read it, you don't take a TWF penalty for Flurry, but Flurry doesn't grant additional attacks while wielding two weapons. However, should you take the TWF feat, I would assert that you could take the appropriate penalties and utilize TWF while making a flurry. It is not explicitly stated that you cannot use TWF just that Flurry doesn't grant any additional attacks for using multiple weapons but also doesn't impose a penalty for using those weapons.

If you replace "for doing so" with WHAT he is doing, you get "he does not gain any additional attacks beyond what's already granted by the flurry for using multiple weapons when making a flurry of blows."

You are conflating the two separate clauses of the sentence together.

No to monk flurry and TWF, although with brawler's flurry while this still wouldn't work, improved TWF would.
