From my -01 character, I have access to purchase the braid of a hundred masters, from 3-13 The Quest for Perfection, Part III: Defenders of Nesting Swallow. I'm planning to use a boon to transfer this item to a real monk. Checking the legality.
From the description in 3-09 Quest for Perfection, Part I, it is described as an intelligent item (present tense):
The Braid of a Hundred Masters is an intelligent item that rests dormant now, and can only be reawakened in a ritual conducted by its last master (or his eldest descendant if the master is dead). When reawakened, the braid functions only for the individual named as the master’s successor.
When she emerges with a smile, the braid is restored to its ancient potency.
...allowing Je Tsun to reactivate the Braid of a Hundred Masters.
Assertion: I'm reading this as the item is reawakened/restored/reactivated as an intelligent item and therefore qualifies for the Gen Con 2017 #17 boon.
Alternatively, you can transfer access to a unique intelligent item , which the recipient can now purchase. This follows the same restrictions as if you were transferring access to a new familiar type...

In the scenario, it is referred to as the Braid of a Thousand Masters. On the chronicle, it's the Braid of a Hundred Masters. I always figured there was some division involved so that the society could hedge their bets on several different Pathfinders.
Also, as a Nagaji, my monk had no way to contribute to the braid (no hair), so:
It's a fun item, even if it does throw all of the item slot assignments out of whack on a monk.
For the OP, you could always do what I did, which is GM the scenario and assign credit to your monk.

Monks with this item are advised to travel with druids. Please stand in the buffing line for animal companions, and be advised that belly rubs ARE an acceptable somatic component for many of the spells.
Sadly, in 13.1 levels, I do not believe I ever once had a druid cast Greater Magic Fang on my monk. I did just adventure with a 15th level druid. I suppose I should have asked. (I've used oils of magic fang myself, though).
I bought the bodywraps of mighty strikes. They don't cover all of my attacks (especially once Snake Fang AoOs are factored in), but they help on the full-BAB attacks in a flurry.

The braid is referred to as the Braid of a Thousand Masters only twice in the entire series, and only in Part 1 where it is mentioned as such once on page 14 and once on page 17.
The braid is referred to as the Braid of a Hundred Masters a total of 44 times across all three parts as follows:
Part 1: page 3 (4 times), page 4 (4 times), page 13 (1 time), page 14 (5 times), page 17 (1 time)
Part 2: page 3 (1 time), page 4 (5 times), page 12 (2 times), page 19 (1 time), page 20 (2 times )
Part 3: page 4 (5 times), page 5 (2 times), page 9 (1 time), page 20 (7 times), page 21 (1 time), Chronicle (2 times)

Rasmarr is not a beast of burden. Was a slave once. Treated like an animal. No more.
(The Druid actually didn't have an animal companion. Otherwise I might have thought to do so.)

My 13.1 unchained monk specially bought a lesser meta rod of extend and a 3rd level pearl of power so the high level druid could cast greater magic fang. Having not to worry about recasting it for the entire day is very nice.

I just upgrade it to the Braid of the Hundred Thousand Masters :)
