Rousing Courage - Cavalier Banner Clarification

Rules Questions

So the Rousing Courage trait from Divine Anthology states that:

Rousing Courage:
...Once per day, when you generate an effect that grants a morale bonus, increase that bonus by 1 for all creatures affected.

Now, how would this interact with the Cavalier's Banner class ability? Since it's a passive ability you're always generating the morale bonus, does the trait apply from the moment you wake up in the morning and secure your banner or, well, what?

Banner wrote:
As long as the cavalier’s banner is clearly visible...The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function

So the Banner ability requires you to display a physical flag or banner (pennant, etc) to function.

Presumably, you would wake up, put on armor, and at some point attach this banner to your lance or a frame (maybe a pole attached to the back of your armor) and THAT is when your Banner ability kicks in.

Should you put down your flag, Banner stops.

So with the trait, you could choose your Banner ability when you "activate" it (from displaying your banner) and it would last until you put the banner down. This could mean it lasts all day, or could be for just a single combat if you need to put the banner down to do something else.

Once you have stopped the Banner ability, you reactivate it by displaying it again, but you couldn't use the trait a second time on the same day.
