Can I throw Shillelagh?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Just wondering, if I throw a club with shillelagh cast upon it, will it be treated as per the effects of the spell when it hits the target at range? Clubs are throwing weapons, but I'm unclear if you are considered wielding the thrown weapon as it travels through the air.

I'd say yes, as Pathfinder has a nuanced meaning of wielding to mean "using".

I'd say yes as well. A club is a legal Thrown Weapon (as proven by it having a range increment). So when you throw a club, your are wielding it as a thrown weapon.
Shillelagh doesn't make any explicit mention of whether or not you have to wield the weapon in melee to gain the benefit of the spell. This clause: "These effects only occur when the weapon is wielded by you. If you do not wield it, the weapon behaves as if unaffected by this spell." is obviously intended to prevent you from passing the weapon off to a party member after casting the spell, not to limit how you can use the weapon.

As a nice corollary, it also means the guy you just pissed off by throwing a magic club at him can't throw it back with Shillelagh's benefits.
