PaizoCon 2018 Afternoon Slot Recruitment

PaizoCon General Discussion

FYI, I've added some Thursday and later Monday slots to the Warhorn - Of course use Event Submission for afternoon slots.

Dataphiles

The link doesn't take me to an event, and I don't see anything listed for 2018 on the Early Arrival/Late Departure page.

Grand Lodge

Try this Link

PaizoCon Early Arrival and Late Departure Games

Edit: O wait I see what you mean about nothing listed

Pardon about the link - and correct, I only just added the *time* slots, no games up yet. This is actually not the right thread for this, but wanted to put it out there.

Dataphiles

Ah got it. That would probably be why it was trying to go to the manage slots page.

As an FYI - Friday afternoon is booked with as many tables as we are allowed, and they are sponsored/brought to you by 10,000Lakes Gaming and SkálCon!

More on this later, but the schedule will be in the Paizo registration.

Dataphiles

Awesome! Thanks Silbeg. Can't wait to see what's on the schedule.

Shadow Lodge

I don't see 2018...

Dataphiles

If you mean on the Warhorn page I noticed the same thing. As Majuba explained to me that's because he added the slot but no games. Until people start organizing tables to add to it 2018 won't show up. I started a PreCon arrival thread so people can start discussing when they're showing up, and what they would be interested in running/playing.

Lots of classics.

I, personally, am running Hall of Drunken Heroes. Some would say it is apt.

Are bonus points given for "props". I would like to play at that table.

The hotel “reminds” us every year outside props are not permitted.

I scrawny yet well muscle toned halfling strides into the room. "Drunken Hero's." " Are you calling me?" " That is me." "Can I help?" "I come prepared!" "I got whisky." "Mead." "Brandy." "Ale." "Whatever you need." the halfling rattles off in near seconds

Both THUNDERLIPS! and THUNDERCOCK! eye the new arrival.

”HEEEEYYYYY... YER SMALL ARENT YOU?”

Ulfen and chicken move to either side of the unsuspecting halfling.

Liberty's Edge

The Halfling looks up to THUNDERLIPS! and replys "Aye!" "That I am." "And you are the opposite." "I may be small." "I make up for it with speed and power." "Plus I have been told I am quite Aerodynamic." Sunnendale Smiles and extends a hand "Names Sunny." "And you are?"

Liberty's Edge

THUNDERLIPS!’S eyes grow wide at the mention of “aerodynamic” even though he has no idea what the word means.

”MAN THUNDERLIPS!”

Scarab Sages

"Ain' tha' a thi'. Wel', if 'm 'vail'ble, tha' migh' be a thi' f'r me. Name's 'graic. Praise Cay'en!" offers a musculuar half-elf that looks like he's been run over by the Cart of Life a few dozen times, with a weapon that could charitably be called a 'polearm' over his right shoulder. The adamantine blade definitely looks like it could be used to chop equines...

"Ale!" he insists, pulling out a portable keg and holding it out for others to pour drinks from one-handed.

Silver Crusade

"Aye, your god will appreciate the worship, and you'll appreciate the challenge."

We'll see what happens with the scheduling... I initially planned the afternoon slot for sleeping but if the schedule falls interestingly it may be do-able.

Scarab Sages

"A'IGH'! 'MA R'DY T' P'RTY! BRING IT ON, CAY'EN!"

*player facepalms and shakes head* I am very much *GO* for Hall of the Drunken Heroes, please have me. I'm using my GM replay to do this with Agraic.

Spoiler:
My first play-through was marred by a *horrible* play experience with a combination of badness and I need to redeem this scenario in my mind as well as get it on the character that it was pretty much written for five years before the character was a reality.

Grand Lodge

"I AM BEING VOUCHER FOR BASH BROTHER! MUCH GOOD PARTY MAN!"

Scarab Sages

"A'IGH'! BOL' in d' H'S'! PREACH I', BR'TH' BOL'!"

Note that these games will be scheduled through paizo’s system, but I would love to have you, Agraic! I’ll do my best to make it memorable.

Any chance someone would be willing to run sanctum of the sages sometime that weekend?

Dataphiles

So assuming I'm lucky enough to get a seat for the 10,000 lakes gaming how will people be sorted at that point? There are several games I'd love to be a part of, but also quite a few that I've already played.

Wow, yeah, that really should be on the regular schedule.

Zach, that is an amazing question, and one we are currently trying to work throug with Paizo. We had wanted this to be set up as 12 separate events. We are still hoping that it can be done that way.

We are discussing other options with Tonya as well.

We really want to allow people to k ow in advance of the event what they are playing!

Having taken the better part of 8 hours to run it for my home group, and 7 at our local gameday, I can't agree. Salvation is better run with a group of known individuals so that the GM can personalize the story, much like Eyes of the Ten.

We considered it, but given reports that it is not running in the 4-5 hour con slot, we didn't want to have GMs push their tables to get it done. For something so important to the storyline of the Scarab Sages, we wanted to make sure people would have time to run it.

Once registration closes, we will transfer the information from here to sheets and have them in the OP Ballroom from Thursday for on-site signups.

Anyone else wanting to run a mid-slot game, we will have papers at HQ for you to complete and hang on the mid-slot board as well.

We also are putting up a pre-muster board for games. Sign up for your table and avoid the muster line.

Space is limited for these events, so signups are first come, first served.

May I suggest meeting the friendliest halflings in the tapestry?

Or just go to the friendliest temple in all of Golarian!

Where it is ALWAYS happy hour.

So, just to let you all know, the individual games are being added to the system now. I would strongly suggest that if you are interested in playing in a particular game during Friday Afternoon Scenarios (Brought To You by 10,000 Lakes Gaming) that you register for the game you would like to play.

Note: the event title will be the scenario, with an organizer of 10,000 Lakes Gaming. You can filter out our games by selecting 10,000 Lakes Gaming as the organizer. As it happens, we are offering the following:
#3-21 Temple of Empyrial Enlightenment 1-5
#4-19 The Night March of Kalkamedes 1-5
#6-08 The Segang Expedition 1-5
#8-19 Treacherous Waves 3-7
#6-02 The Silvermount Collection 3-7
#4-05 The Sanos Abduction 3-7
#4-13: Fortress of the Nail 5-9
#4-06 The Green Market 5-9
#5-13 Weapon in the Rift 5-9
#8-20 Torrent's Last Will 7-11
#40 Hall of Drunken Heroes 7-11
Pathfinder Adventure Card Game (TBD) ACG

We are looking forward to another great Paizo Con, and an amazing afternoon of PFS gaming. See you there!

As Tonya states above, if there are any seats available after registration closes, they will have sheets for signing up posted at the convention.

And, you never know, there may be some surprises during this afternoon!

I am suspicious of these "happy" halflings, and outright disbelieve that the Hellknights are anything even resembling happy. That being said I am definitely considering both. I have already visited that temple once, and there are just too many good options available to replay it now.

It's showing the 10, 000 Lakes events as 'full' and still as one 'glob' of events.

...will be heavily bummed if he can't get his Caydenite Scarab Sage into Hall of Drunken Heroes

Sovereign Court

Sadly ive played that entire list

Sara Marie is working on it. I assume that once all of the games are entered, she will make them public.

The original event is a placeholder, and shows all of what we are offering.

I am looking forward to having your Caydenite at the table, Wei Ji!

That was a good decision, I hadn't been thinking on that.

Sarvei - we'll see how the lottery and signups play out - I might put it up on pre/post-. I've run it, but it's a lot of prep, and I already have three slots competing for prep time.
