The cream cheese has to be so few that you don't even notice. You can also use bread wet in milk. It's just for making it a bit more juicy. But I usually add about half of a tea spoon.

I used some freshly made burger bread from a local breadshop, lettuce, grilled onion, tomato, double mozzarella cheese for me (Edam for Dalindra), pickles, double meat, bacon and ketchup and mustard for me (curry mango sauce for Dalindra).

I was about to make my Iberic burger but changed my mind on the last time: manchego cheese, tomato, lettuce, meat (seasoned with parsley and red wine), cured iberic ham and olives.

*mouth watering turn into mouth flooding*

I think, I'll be making that Iberic bruger next time its burger-time, might drop the olives, as their not really my thing - just hope I can get my hands on some cured iberic ham (please don't kill me if I can only get some other kind of cured ham ^^).

Edit:

That's it! to the shops to see, what I can get my hands on...

Iberic is expensive. Another one will probably be fine. I don't know how easy is to find this type of ham outside of Spain. When I was in England I had such a hard time trying to find things that were common food for me, like salted sunflower seeds (which are one of the most common Spanish snacks but it seems they are some sort of delicacy abroad).

Salted Sunflower seeds are very common here. You can't walk into the smallest corner store without seeing them.

Good to know. I lived with an English family for a month and they usually said to me that I was eating bird food and asked me if sunflower seeds were a delicacy in Spain.

They thought I was weird because I ate sunflower seeds.

I thought they were because when they said «water» they meant «carbonated water» and when they said «bread» they meant «bread and butter».

Limeylongears may be in a better position to explain this.

Back from shopping.

and have picked up some cured serrano ham, so come Friday its gonna be burger time.

For tonight though it will be curry-teriyaki turkey and pork stir-fry, with potato, bell pepper, chili, lemon grass, ginger, onion and garlic, served with wild rice.

Tasty!!!
Tell me how the burger comes out!

"I AM THE LAW" comes from an old comic book called Judge Dredd. The Judges were a police force that were judge, jury, and executioner all rolled into one. There's been one really bad version of a movie made and one that was pretty good.

I had the new barbecue bacon chicken sandwich at McDonald's. It actually wasn't too bad. :-)

I've just had a rye bread sandwich with anchovies, manchego cheese and red bell peppers. I'm in heaven xD

Hey, everybody. TOZ is graduating tonight. I asked him to post on Deep 6 when He's done. Anyone who wants to post a congratulatory message may do so, and raise a glass to his success.

And back to food...

Last Saturday, I made a double-batch of buttermilk waffles. I hadn't taken out the waffle iron in months, and it was time. They were delicious. I always make a double-batch so that I have extras to freeze, so that I have homemade toaster waffles.

This morning for breakfast, I toasted two waffles and served it with some homemade lemon curd (left over from Easter) and some sliced fresh strawberries.

Boy, was that a great breakfast!

I have waffle envy now. That sounds so good. :)

Good morning! I was so tired yesterday that I just fell asleep. I woke up completely disoriented because I cannot remember going to sleep. *Yawn*

Well, always nice to have a fan. You will be well treated after I have been crowned Empress Sissyl I of Earth, Kjeldorn.

Good morning! (Technically it is morning here. 1am counts)

Today's meal was the tastiest of all: a free one!

Earlier (yesterday afternoon) I drove the local high school baseball team to a game. The team has a very dedicated booster squad, who came and dropped off packed lunches for all the kids. They are always kind enough to give the driver one as well

So, a turkey sub sandwich (what locally we would call a 'grinder' - don't ask me why), a bag of chips, a Twinkie and a bottle of water. I refrained from eating it until I arrived at my security job, then indulged. Free makes everything taste better

Oh, yeah! I have to aggree, specially when I get free stuff from my grandmother's farm or from Dalindra's grandmother. Free and natural.

Yesterday I found some pork liver that was on sale and it was so cheap! So today I'm probably doing a traditional dish of liver and onions that is not as disgusting as it might sound but pretty delicious.

Coño! I've just slipped on a pool of vomit and almost fell. That WAS DISGUSTING.

ick!

I really don't miss working at the hospital. Especially when there is a full moon out ...

This actually happened on the street. I don't have to work today.

Just goes to show, some people shouldn't drink in public. The South Side of Pittsburgh has the unenviable reputation of being "Party Central," with more bars than any other type of establishment. So I routinely have to sidestep pools of vomit on the sidewalks every twenty meters or so.

Ah. Disregard then.

Drinking to sickness. How banal.

It was in one of the streets with most pubs in town so yes.

Dodging dog sh*t is also a popular sport here.

That's a sport here as well.

I agree. That's why I know my limits, and stay within them.

I'll be pushing my limits at PaizoCon, but I'm pretty good about traipsing the boundaries with aplomb. It's the Scots blood.

These days, my Hangovers have the intensity of migranes, complete with the nausea.

I stopped drinking a few years ago (because Dalindra couldn't drink and I didn't want him to feel displaced when we went out) and now I get drunk by just smelling alcohol. But my younger self could drink and drink with very few side effects.

When I was young I could drink to excess, with very little effort.

Then I stopped drinking, and lost all tolerance

Then I joined the military, and regained my tolerance

Then I got out and lost all tolerance, to the point that a single beer would cause me a racking hangover.

Then as I became single I discovered that somehow I had become incredibly tolerant of alcohol again, in fact more than ever in my life. FHDM can attest to this when we hung out at the Lovecraft Bar in NYC.

I've changed my mind about today's lunch. I've been eating meat for a couple of days so I decided to make some ravioli.

I had a zucchini that wouldn't last for long, so I improvised a sauce with it:
Zucchini, some garlic, pine kernel, black pepper, basil, evaporated milk and some ricotta cheese.

I hope it tastes fine!

Zucchini ravioli? Hmmm... Let us know how it turns out.

We use beef liver, but I love liver and onions!

It was just the sauce. The raviolis were bought, white truffle and mushroom. The sauce turned out great.

The liver in onion looks like this. Maybe later I post the recipe because it tastes really good. It's completely non yucks xD

Looks about the same as beef liver, only slightly less dark.

I have deep, deep psychological damage caused by zucchini from my childhood of growing up as part of a Quaker community.
