Advice for a Catfolk Skald

Advice

Basically, In a nutshell, planning to roll a catfolk Skald, possibly play with the totemic archetype, with a focus on Claws or Natural attacks, any advice and or tips for builds?

I don't know about builds, but you should definitely sing Stray Cat Strut, Cat Scratch Fever and Eye of the Tiger.

And anything from Steel Panther, well, you may need to be careful in front of the kids, or parents, or your boss.

str/cha should be highest probably - i know it's not very specific but I thought I'd get the thread back on topic

Okay, some ssrious advice. Feats for any skald would be skalds vigor, and the greater version, and discordant voice when you qualify for them. For a natural attack build arcane strike will be good, and riving strike if your party includes folks that will take advantage of it. Animal fury rage power to grab a bite attack on top of your racial claws. Your choice of a a totem line for rage powers will be a major one. Top choices for me would be beast, spirit or fiend.

Java man covered a lot of it.
- Furious amulet of might fist is a must.

- Plan for take haste, good hope, and flexible fury as level 3 spells. Most of the immediate action spells including the finally spells are great. Community minded should be one of your traits.

-Contagious zeal is a nice spell before you can get good hope.

- Diefic obedience irori is great if you are the primary knowledge person.

- Bloodsong is an awesome weapon property but not amazing for natural weapons.

only downside of arcane strike and immediate action spells is that they can't both be done in the same round - so if you're planning to do arcane strike every round you can't do the immediate actions spells

Order of operations matters a lot in terms of value. Because your immediate action resets at the end of your turn, you always have your immediate available for spells. If you use a spell you don't get to arcane strike. You will be able to arcane strike most turns in my experience.

If it worked the other way you would have to anticipate if you were going to need a spell and not arcane strike. Fortunately, this is not how it works.

Thanks for all the advice friends! Player decided to go with Tiefling instead with Maw Or Claw (Picked Claws), and the demon dancer archetype. But these all still help tons!

Thanks oodles!
