Seeking Advice for Swashbuckler

Advice

All,

I have an Empty Sky Kitsune Swashbuckler Battledancer that's just about to turn level 4. She has Martial Disciple in acrobatics and is taking Basic Sorcerer Spellcasting at level 4 and Expert Sorcerer Spellcasting at 12. She has Foxfire as her first ancestry feat. I gave her Acrobatic Performer at level 2 and Assurance in acrobatics at level 3.

I have her class feats and ancestry feats mapped out for the next few levels. But I am having a hard time selecting general skills. Most of them seem... rather lackluster.

So I'm looking for advice on what useful general skills to give her as she levels up. Preferably synergistic with her current path, of course.

It helps to remember that General feats and Skill feats are intended to be orthogonal to your class feats. Your class feats are what give you your character's combat power. General feats and Skill feats are meant for character building.

There are certainly a small handful of General feats and Skill feats that have combat application. Toughness, Intimidating Glare, Bon Mot, Quick Jump, and others like that. But that isn't the purpose. These feat choices are intended for rounding out the character and making it feel like a character that has other purposes, motivations, and goals in life than fighting things.

It seems that you have acrobatics under control, what is another skill you are going to focus on? I would suggest once you have that decided to start looking there. Also look at what your party has and see if there are any missing components.

For example with my character, we didn't have a spell caster, and as an alchemist with crafting, I chose crafter's appraisal to help with identifying things. It is flavored that I have an active immigration and use my alchemist supplies to run tests. To try to figure it out.

You have access to all the good Charisma skills Deception, Intimidation, Diplomacy and Dexterity skills Stealth, Thievery, Acrobatics

You have Acrobatics and Cat Fall already, Kip Up is good. But the rest is up to you. Honestly you are spoilt for choice. Everything works.

Stealth is nice as it gives you an initiative option with Avoid Notice, that is probably going to be better than your perception. If you are often alone on the front line next to an enemy Goading Feint is nice.
